never used them once.

$200 for a 4x cd burner

My store bought pc shorted out not two weeks later. I didn't have a burner again till 40x drives were common.

$400 worth of OCz RAM before I became a frugal bastard. I started with 2 sticks of 512, and then expanded to 4, thinking I could keep my CPU OCed 3.0->3.6, but now I can hardly OC. Some $150 value RAM would do the same job.

PS2 setup, console, two controllers, memory card & four games. Put a total of about 15 hours on the system from March to last week when I sold it.

Acer 266 mmx pc for 1200 without monitor

Bluetooth headset. Used it about a week and thank god was able to unload it for almost the same price (maybe even a little more, whew!)

A Windows Mobile PDA. Bleh.

Next would have to be a copy of World of Warcraft. It was fun up until I hit level 27, now it's just boring and repetitive.

i'd have to say my CD collection from the mid nineties. boy what a mistake...

I also spent a lot of money on CD's then, but that was a time when tapes were crap and cd burners did not exist so it was worth it at the time, and I don't regret it. I've spent a few thousand on computer parts I didn't really need over the last 5-10 years. Been able to sell some, and rebuild computers for friends/family but never really got back what I spent.

Other than that I've probably wasted more money on booze and women.

A big long list of games (MW4, etc) that I never finished.

A CF Logistics branded Zippo. I don't smoke!
