The Wild Bunch.

Not as violent as some recent movies but there are plenty of innocent bystanders getting shot within 5 minutes.

Sam Peckinpaw is the master.

Do these even count as movies?

Elfen Lied probably ranks up there? i mean they dont usually do it to adolescent girls...
how about Hokuto No Ken (Fist of the North Star)? blowing up people's heads with bear hands must be fun :D

Does this Riki O have a plot, or is it just some japanese writer fulfilling his wet dreams of live manga?
Because if it doesn't have a plot, and we're talking just showing off violence, then I'd say the Faces of Death series is pretty darn violent too.

I never understood the appeal of over the top violence with no purpose. I can see if it's part of a decent storyline (Resevoir Dogs, Saving Private Ryan) but mindless bloodshed is'nt entertaining to me
