Need to pick up a movie for my 13 year old son and myself. He wants a comedy, so might as well make it a good one. He's already seen Holy Grail and Airplane many times. Any other good ideas?

dumb & dumber would get my vote...I doubt he'd "get" the big lebowski. plus it might be inappropriate anyways.

I was going to say Monty Python and the holy grail, but you already had that. I would say Lion King 1½ then.

Even if it is a cartoon, it's still funny :)

Office Space really isn't laugh out loud funny.

I always liked:
Billy Madison, Tommy Boy, Dumb and Dumber, Austin Powers 2, stuff like that.

If you haven't left yet, try Dirty Work too...Norm McDonald is awesome!

"You wanna come in for a cup of coffee?"
"No thanks...I'm gonna go...lift...weights. WHAT?"

Anything by the Farrelly brothers. Dumb and Dumber is my favorite, but Something about Mary isn't far behind.

Good suggestions. I was pushing for Blazing Saddles, when bmacd mentioned Office Space. I've always wanted to see it, but my older son already did, and my wife likes dramas.

I picked it up, but they only had it in VHS. I figure that will be good enough. Thanks Again!

Now to order a 'Hawaiian Barbeque Chicken' pizza... :p

Sorry to say, but I don't think a 13 y.o. will find Office Space that funny. It's one of those "had to of been in that situation to understand" sorta movies.

It's not side splitting "ha ha" funny. It's "been there, done that, how pathetic" funny.

I don't know many 13 y.o. that have worked in a cubicle farm.

Office space is funny, but only REALLY funny after you've lived it. IE worked for a big corporation.

i've LIVED office space, but my little brothers even laugh at the humor in it. There's nothing inappropriate in it that will offend you or your 13yo son, and i know you'll enjoy it. Pizza sounds good :)

I second this.

Super Troopers is also a good one, but I don't know if that's something that you want to watch with your son ;)

Son: "Dad, what was that guy doing with that bear?"
Ornery: "Well, son, when a man and a bear love each other..."

They don't have to love each other ;)
