It was OK. I'm glad I saw it, and my son certainly got a few chuckles out of it. He was turning his nose up at the old classics listed on the Internet Movie Database., so a newer movie was a good choice.

My personal pick is Monty Python's In Search Of The Holy Grail, which my sons also love. I think my older son has every line memorized.

If he likes Monty Python, get A Fish Called Wanda. Probably the funniest non-Python movie that John Cleese and Michael Palin have ever done. It's Kevin Kline's best role ever, and Jamie Lee Curtis is smokin' hot in it as well

If you don't think that Monty Python's The Meaning of Life would be suitable, may I recommentdeither of two Terry Gilliam (Monty Python member) directed movies?

Number one for your son would be Time Bandits. A young boy's bedroom is invaded by time travelling dwarves who take him with them on a series of hilarious adventures. At the end, Sir Ralph Richardson plays God. It is side splittlingly funny, and a good adventure yarn ( don't be put off by the tepid review I linked to). I think it would be perfect for your son.

The other is Jabberwocky. Another hilarious Pythonesque adventure tale starring Michael Palin. Again, I just linked to the first Googleized review I found. But, a vendor in a monster beseiged town hawking "Rats on a stick" says it all.

Edit: I personally consider both to be much funnier than "A Fish Called Wanda", but then, that's just me.
