Real, legitimate business? Probably something along the lines of Etrade or Ameritrade. Those places are essentially "internet businesses". Yes, they have retail branches and you can call up a broker to place a trade. But an overwhelming majority of their transactions occur over a web site.

They make money hand over fist.

Not exactly an easy start up though. ;)

Hello newb. Welcome!

Seriously now, if we were making a crapload of money why would be here talking to you?
And why would we just give away free financial advice?
Successful people dont do that. They charge big bucks for the info or keep it secret.

And if you have to ask such a question in a geek forum instead of a bussiness or economics class, you probably wont be successful at it anyway.

But hey, GOOD LUCK BUDDY! We love you.

EDIT:
GAWD I love newb bashing. I think I'll go drink some Mountain Dew and watch Star Trek 6 and laugh at dead Klingons.
You're an idiot. Just because I'm using a new login doesn't mean I haven't been out here for years. Bash away if it makes you happy.
No, slutty Star Trek chicks makes me happy. Correcting newbs make me useful.

And I too lurked for a long time before joining. I learned that asking silly and simple questions gets you silly and simple answers.
If I'm an idiot you must be something god-aweful. You cant make quality posts and then piss and moan when others have fun with you.

When I said I've been out here for years, I meant as a member under a different login, and if it means that much to you, I joined Anandtech long before you did. I started a new ID, which is what I posted this question under. If you can't understand this, go ask a grown up to explain it to you. I came out for some intelligent answers, and I got you, which is kind of like asking for filet mignon and receiving a horse turd, but I guess that's the breaks. Now it's your turn to try to attempt to post something intelligent/funny/sarcastic, but just keep in mind, I'm smarter than you, bigger than you, and better than you in every possible way imaginable, and there's absolutely nothing you can do about it.
If you've really been here that long, I have two important questions for you:

1)What was your old username?

2)Why are you still asking such stupidly naive questions?

1) None of your business. I was in a different country and had to post something, didn't have my password or access to my email, so I started a new user name. Haven't used the old one since.

2) If you find the question stupidly naive, why not go somewhere else? I have received a few good answers to the question, which has relevence to me and my business. If it was such a stupid question, everyone would be giving the same answer, not the varied answers I've received.

Why not post under your original username?

Hi RossMAN, we've talked before under the username I stopped using (see my post for why right above this one). I forgot how "newbs" were treated until I started this login, still amazes me that people think their post count or longevity on the site makes them a better person (not counting the grand nagus, of course...)

Sigh, thank you, I know that, I stopped using the other one when I started using this one. Sheesh, ask a simple question...
