Actually the 2nd Amendment had everything to do with ethics, morals and rights. It is derived right from the Magna Carta which gave the right to bare arms in England.

Read up on the founding Fathers, I am a History major and I am reading a biography on one right now that talked about it.

The usual misinformation. The wealth of the agrarian south was slave generated, but slaves were not widely used in the more industrial north and when there was forced labor in the northern colonies, it was far more likely to be indentured servitude of Europeans.

Hmm, my teacher taught that it was just slaves, but of course I was in an AP course so it was fairly in depth.
