You don't get it. What he found funny, was how a serious, educated ADULT can be so NAIVE and GULLIBLE as to believe, that Russia could influence anything in America, the strongest, country in the world, with best spies and counter spying agencies.

Quit watching so much CNN. There was NO Russian meddling. Trump and his associates have NO ties to Russia, there was NO "annexation" of Crimea(these people voted democratically to join Russia), and NO Russia shoot-down of the Malaysian plane(it was done by Ukraine). Cold war is over.. Just.. Move... On.

Thats not actually what I found funny. And your facts are wrong. It is undeniable Russia DID meddle in our elections. Even Fox reported this.. What hasnt been proven is Trumps so-called holding hands with Russia and wooing Putin to do it.

Crimea WAS annexed by Russia. Again, Fox reported on it. Just because Trump doesnt "recognize" the annexation doesnt mean it didnt happen. It did.

As far as the Malasian airplane shot down, what IS known for sure is it was a Russian missle. Was still is fuzzy is WHO exactly shot it down.

And they did it how? With a massive disinformation campaign. They messed with the minds of a lot of Americans on behalf of Donald J Trump, a man singularly unfit to be our President.

What was the disinformation campaign about? Crooked Hillary, of course. I can't believe it worked, but it did. Until people honestly come to grips with that they'll be wide open to more of the same.

And, uhh, prove what, exactly? After the press conference in Helsinki, what is there to prove? Our President is obviously compromised in some way. I don't need to know the specifics to be able to see it with my own eyes & hear it with my own ears.

Absolutely. Dems need to lead off with their domestic agenda early 2019. Avoid GOP talking point Dema are all about impeachment.

Yep, though I have to say, this discussion may be moot. Today HuffPo reported that Mueller's people are telling defense counsel that they are "just tying up loose ends in their investigation." And I recall now that CNN reported about a month back that Mueller's team was "already preparing its final report."

The sense from that HuffPo piece is that the investigation may be complete as soon as some time in January. If that turns out to be the case, I would support pursuing impeachment sooner, though I'd still rather see them do some investigating of their own first. The biggest issue there being that Mueller has had limited access to Trump's financial records. Those can be subpoened by Congress. And, as you say, they also have many other issues to attend to. Plus it wouldn't hurt for the proceedings to be little closer to the 2020 election, maybe late 2019.

Manafort's sentencing isn't until February. There are more than a few loose ends like Corsi, Stone, Jr, Jared & aybody who told the same lies to Congress as Cohen. There are ongoing actions in SDNY & NY State, I'm sure. Not to mention HOR inquiries when the new majority is sworn in.

It's cute that you think the Democrats haven't been trying to fight this for decades.
If you define "fight" as "caving on almost every important economic issue at every juncture in the name of keeping a Neo-Liberal DNC alive at all costs", then why yes, I suppose you're righ, that is exactly what the Democrats have been doing for the past 40 years...

If you define "caving" as "a small percentage of Democrats (often just enough to give the GOP the votes they need) caving on individual policies while the majority of Democrats vote against it and lobby against it" then I suppose I would agree to your substitution. Of course when someone defines that reality as "caving" it makes them look ignorant or dishonest, or both.

Its a very different America from that time so I wouldn't bank on that. In fact, the most consistent anti-Democrat sentiment from people that aren't conservative or die, is that the Dems aren't doing enough to hold these assholes accountable. There's enough solid reasons that have nothing to do with Russia that they should be raising for questioning his fitness for that office.

At minimum, they should say "we are waiting for the special counsel's investigation and findings before we consider what action to take on the issue of Russian and other foreign entities' collusion with Turmp" but also say that they will make the findings public and "any attempt to obstruct, or obfuscate the investigation and its findings by Turmp or on his behalf will be considered an impeachable offense". Make it clear that option is very much in their minds. Certainly there's plenty of other issues to investigate. Hell, there's plenty of non-Turmp people to investigate, and I hope they make it clear that just because these people stepped down, does not mean they won't have to answer for their actions.
Anyone with that opinion has no idea what they are talking about. America voted to give the Democrats zero power at the federal level in 2016.

So much wrong with that post you should be embarrassed. Physician, heal thyself.

Maybe start with a CAT scan? If you want to convince people of anything here, posting like you've just emerged from a brain-injury induced coma isn't going to do it.

The brain of a right winger is like a pot full of shit. It's a perfectly good pot but you have to clean it out before you can cook in it.

Not exactly. Dems had the power to reject SCOTUS nominees before McConnell changed the rules.

I agree, yet there were several people on here, ones who claimed to not be Rubs above all else, pushing that type of narrative.

At one point one of them fucking said basically "duh, I know the Rubs are shit, but the Dems aren't showing they aren't, so I can't support them until they can show it". And then several that have said they don't even know what the Dems platform/issues are, because they apparently couldn't be fucking bothered to go and look at the DNC's fucking website where it was listed and broken down. They claimed the Dems didn't have a platform because the Rubs were able to spout their hate and crazy bullshit and drown it out. They'll criticize Rubs for doing something, and then criticize the Dems for not doing it too while also somehow making it so Rubs can't do it any more. Its fucking absurd. But it shows how even seemingly rational people get their brains completely fucked by crazy bullshit rhetoric.

Every time I kept calling them on it they'd move the goalposts. Well really they meant that the Dems aren't saying that they'll do something about it (cause you know, you can totally trust exactly what politicians say...which they often would mention themselves but they wanted Dems to say it at least). And then it was the Dems weren't doing a good enough job on messaging, nevermind they were actually doing most of the shit the people wanted them to (and the media was covering it), it was getting drowned out by the shitshow that is Turmp, but by golly the Dems need them a Turmp (this after they repeatedly say how awful Turmp is and how he singlehandedly has made politics worse...). Then there was the "I don't even know what the Dems platform is because they don't talk about it." And so on.

I kept asking them what they expected Dems to do? And it was always more of the same irrationlization. "Well they need to do something about it!" And how are they going to do that when the Rubs had majority in both houses of Congress, have the Presidency, and are loading courts? As well as rigging state governments. "The Dems need to clean house and get all new people, because they're not appealing enough to conservatives or liberals. They need a new charismatic figurehead to lead them. They're too old, they're too young. That Dem is too conservative. That Dem is too liberal. They need to change. They need to...."

Yeah it's tough for people to just flat out admit they have an irrational hatred for liberals.

As opposed to liberals who have no problem admitting they hate conservatives, right?

Keep ripping that divide further. Youre no better than the right.

I don't hate conservatives. They've just been misled & exploited by decades of right wing disinformation & propaganda. Hell- look at who they elected President. I mean, none of this is normal. They had to believe in a whole lot of bullshit for that to happen. And they still do.

Meanwhile, they're being victimized in GOP top down class warfare like everybody else. What they believe in stops them from recognizing that.
