Well, I was at a temple and before we go in, we take off our shoes. By the way, I'm Hindu.

Anyway, hours pass as I'm with friends, doing prayers, and eating lunch there. Well, when I go back, out of the hundreds of shoes, my new Iversons were gone! I looked for a long time and no luck. My dad bought the same ones at the time so I just wore his from then on since we have the same show size.

I was dissapointed but I guess it taught me and my family a lesson in a way because we never really expected shoes to be stolen.

Incase you're wondering the shoe came out to be like $30 a pair even though thats when they were new? I know people will ask so I'll just tell you know.

Whenever we go on a drive to Ohio or Chicago, we pass outlet malls. Here, they almost always have a Reebok store and we just go there. Pick out shoes you like, and then take them for check out. They always have two deals: Buy one, second half off and buy two get third free. Well, on top of that, you can use a AAA card if you're a member and get like another 15% or 20% off (I don't remember exactly how much though). We got three pairs of Iversons then at $30 a pair once you average it out. My brother, my dad, and myself, all got nice shoes when they were new. Other times, just my dad and I will get a pair or my brother and I so whatever the case, its cheap!

When i was a kid we had two three-wheelers stolen out of our garage. That sucked big time.

The soft top from my GMC Tracker and the read passenger tire.

Funny thing was as we were trying to cover it over with a large tarp, the cops came a long to see what was going on.

Ditto, minus the "found" part. When your nine years old and bike around the neighborhood daily with other kids, that POS Huffy suddenly becomes the world to you. :|

Sorry about your shoes... I don't think I've bought new sneakers since 1995 (I don't play sports that involve wearing sneakers)...

I think the most expensive thing that was stolen from me was a $2k brand-spanking new Dell laptop that belonged to my cousin... I was loading it up for her over the course of a week when our house was robbed. Insurance paid for most of it, but still... I felt real bad... what were the chances they picked that week to hand-take only a few things from our house? I lost a $400 camera in the process.

uMM... UMmm.. The original post was really.. Odd.. I mean.. What's with the long rant about getting shoes for $30 at a sneakers outlet? If a $30 pair of sneakers was the most expensive thing that you've lost then you should really consider yourself lucky....

My entire CD collection...which is easily $1000+ worth of CDs. Later I found out it was one of my friends who was afraid to ask to borrow them so he stole them and gave them back about a week later. Harsh beatings followed.
