that'd be my $350 Viewsonic PF790 19" flatscreen CRT monitor a couple years ago... i still used it up to a while back but eventually gave in and got an LCD....

most expensive software i bought is probably admuncher which costs like $30

1. X1900XT, a couple weeks after it came out.
2. Yes, very happy with it. Only thing I don't like is the stock cooler (but hey, who likes stock coolers anyway??)

Athlon Slot A 800 mhz $460 ... satisfied for a year
Geforce 6800 Ultra agp $360 ... sold it in a year for 300 and traded for x800 xt PE for ~230 : )

That would be my 23" Sony LCD @ £2150 ($3.8k or so). Yes very happy with it. Did lots of work on it during my time at Uni. Now it is paired with a 24" Dell that only cost £715 ($1.1k).

Pretty good setup.

probablly my 17" LCD a while ago. here it costs more like $350.
most expensive software would have to be windows xp pro.

Do monitors count? If so $1700 for my 42" Westinghouse 1080p LCD.

If not then my e6600 C2D for $360 would take the top prize.

probably my 8 gb scsi UW HD... some insane amount, > $500 i think

The SCSI adapter was not cheap either. :Q

dual widescreen, pics? i'm pretty jealous--you must have a massive desk 🙂

I have three 3-4K laptops sitting around from various periods spaced multiple years apart, one is a P166, woosh

17" Dell Trintron (non-Flat) monitor, Jan 1997 - $700

Myself or the original owner got good use out of all of the above, so I would say that they are worth the price

Can I count Microsoft Streets & Trips (with GPS locator) as software? It really kicks ass..compared to my handheld running GPS from Garmin, it finds my location one hundred times faster..and its smaller! now if i didnt have some issue with unplugging it and the computer going into sleep, it would really be the shizzle - $100

120 megabyte RLL hard drive - 1989, paid I believe 1,300 for it. Was about as tall as some SFF cases, and loud as hell. At this time 10-30 meg HD's were pretty ubber. 120 megs was crazy. Biggest game I remember at that time, Crime Wars? It was a whopping 5 5 1/4 360k floppy disc's

software I have no idea.
