That school is like a f'n resort! I haven't been there, but the viewbook I got from them was like a friggin resort brochure.

I thought Rice University had a nice campus in a nice location. It's the nicest campus I have seen personally, very beautiful.

I went to UWisc, it's a great campus. I visited UMich recently, also very nice. I work at Ohio State University and I think it's a whole lot of concrete.... not pretty. I'm going to UWash to interview in a month... I'll report back.

I take a couple of classes at Ohio State, and I agree with the fact that it is an ugly campus. There's more concrete than anything else especially around the classroom buildings. The only thing that is nice is the main oval during a few summer months, but it still doesn't make up for the ugliness you see if you look around. I think even Case Western has a much nicer north campus area (but their south campus sucks).

The biggest let down was Kenyon College in Ohio. The viewbook made the place look like it was heaven, but an actual visit told me that I would die of boredom in the middle of nowhere Ohio. The place wasn't even a small fraction as beautiful as the viewbook suggested. I think they took the absolute most flattering pictures that possibly could and left out the otherwise depressing surroundings.

Although UCI isn't the best looking one, it is far from the ugliest campus. We have several nice building complexes and a huge park in the middle.

I have to say two of the most beautiful campuses are University of Wisconsin and University of Washington. Wisconsin with the lakes and Bascom Hall, just beautiful. While Washington has the mountain in the backdrop and a lush garden.

I have been to Ohio State, Indiana University, U of M Ann Arbor, and Arizona State, and I have to say OSU and ASU tied as having the ugliest campus.

I'm probably biased but I loved Cornell enough to spend 6 years there. Had a single corner room in a fraternity house on top of a hill that overlooked the lake and used to watch both winter and summer storms come down the lake. Anybody who's there now should also take sometime off campus and visit Treman Park and Taughannock Falls.

I visited Columbia this past weekend and I have to say: wow! Although I still think Rice is better overall.
