OK, I think this guy might win....

Vanderbilt is a nationally designated arboretum. I think it has every species of tree that's native to the South. The pictures don't even do it enough justice... there's a lot that's left out!

You can visit it too :) http://webcam.kettering.edu/view/view.shtml

I would say the most beautiful I have personally ever visited is Michigan State.

The city sucks, but what beef do you have against our campus? I think it's pretty nice.

Of the ones I've been to (all in the north east), far and away the nicest campus I've seen is Penn State-Erie. Worst was SUNY Cobleskill.

I went to UWisc, it's a great campus. I visited UMich recently, also very nice. I work at Ohio State University and I think it's a whole lot of concrete.... not pretty. I'm going to UWash to interview in a month... I'll report back.

I don't think I've seen anything that you would call an ugly campus. Some places are sort of a mixture of ugly and pretty parts.

Blinn College's Bryan Campus, the campus that 90% of Blinn Students go to isnt as pretty. Basically its pretty much the Blinn athletes that go to the Brenhem campus, the other ~11000 go to the Bryan campus. The Brenhem Campus only looks the way it does, because of the town its in. The funny thing about Blinn College, its the only college(that I know of) that makes Mayday an offical school holiday, because Mayday is an offical town of Brenhem Holiday.

Texas A&M has some ugly parts, and some beautiful parts.

Prettiest: I can't decide between Stanford and Duke. Stanford looks much more 20th century and pastel-ish. Duke is quite Gothic but very impressive!

Ugliest: PBCC (Palm Beach Community College). I was going there to order a transcript (dual enrolled with my HS and PBCC) and I peered in through this hall... portables EVERYWHERE! :disgust:

what about places like UCSB, UCSD, and Uinversity of Hawaii?

UCSD has got to be one of the ugliest colleges I have seen.

you havent been to USC or UCLA or SDSU, or MIT, or Carniege Mellon or Berkely or tons of other schools have you? Talk about ugly campuses

I can't speak for MIT or CMU but I've been to the rest you mentioned. UCSD is in the nicest area but as far as buildings go, the school looks like a spread of random buildings. Some parts of the school look like government buildings (Muir), some parts look like corporate builings (Jacobs) and some areas look like ski lodges. Maybe I am just biased since I go to ucsd, but im not the only one that thinks ucsd is an ugly campus. I actually like the way UCB and UCLA was built and don' t think they are ugly at all.

i attend ucsd as well, ...hehe i like the scenery and la jolla shores is nice...if you have $$$$$

the new eleanor roosevelt college looks really nice....warren looks nice.....revelle's ok..muir looks like crap from the 60-70's....6th college is blah...

it's like a theme park...different styles for each college...it's kinda wierd...

i don't like the stuart collection...WTF is a bunch of poles w/ blue fence going through trees?...."oh some simbolizing wind lbahbalhb civilization balhbalbhlabh" stfu...and the trees are all in a straight line...it doesn't look natural :(

at least we can see the ocean from the top floors of the library...a lot of dorms even have ocean views..those bastards..hehe

True, our A&M campus is pretty old and kinda runs down, everything is "historic" or a "tradition" building. But there are some major renovations. Great thing is, as many buildings as we have they are all squeezed together, except when you have to goto the outer campus stuff.

I liked it. I did not visit it before I went there. so it was a shock. Liked it better than Harvard, Brown, and Princeton.

BUT, if you like waterfalls, Tocca Falls College has most of 'em beat.

Tocca Virtual Tour

On the tour (slow load), hover over the left-upper corner to see a pic of the falls.

KU in the spring. The campus isn't actually that pretty - but the female students are breathtaking.
