I assume you are correct, but what about the video confirms it was shot with an iPhone?

MotionMan

iPhone:smart phones :: Coke:Soft drinks ?

heck, it is already true that: iPod:mp3 player :: Frisbee:Novelty Flying Disc

but seriously, the probabilty is rather high, and "shitty iPhone video" on Youtube is pretty much its own genre these days.

Perhaps it's the chance that most of these probably are shot with an iPhone due to market saturation, and also the assumption that those who buy Apple devices don't really care to learn how to do things, as they assume "it just works."

:\

I hate Star Trek and I have to admit that was awesome.

As for the vertical video-ing.... fuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuck I hate it.

Thanks zin, but I kinda wanted to hear drebo's response since he was the one who made the original statement.

I beg to differ, sir.

:colbert:

i was temped to close the window immediately b/c I see more retards with their shitty iPhone and shitty AR trying to post a video that no one wants to watch b/c of shitty iPhone AR, but I tend to trust the OP's recommendations, for no particular reason.

not bad, not bad. those are some happy super geeks, I'm sure.

MotionMwned. If that had been in a court of law, there would have been a noticeable gasp and murmer from the gallery & the judge would have started banging his gavel calling for order until he announced 'Case Dismissed!!!!!!!!111'

I was not responding to your post (mostly because I did not know what "AR" meant, "Augmented Reality"?):

well, you said "original statement." I was simply mentioning that i bitched about it nearly a day before he did, so I jumped in. :\

AR = Aspect Ratio

4:3 = standard TV/broadcast
16:9 = "widescreen" (pretty much the standard these days)
1.85:1 and 2.39:1 = film/cinema (think, Lawrence of Arabia)

I don't think the AR that is displayed when people record video with their smartphones vertically oriented is classified, b/c it is so shitty and undesirable, that no one wants to establish it as some kind of accepted format.

Accordingly, the judge would have told you to sit down, shut up and pay better attention to the questioning.

Whatever.

I don't want your answer, I want drebo's.

MotionMan

fair enough, but based on drebo's posts per day, he doesn't seem to haunt these forums as much as a jerk like me does.

you might be waiting a long time for his response...
