Looking forward to trying STALKER, for the first time but that is one I'm going to wait for reviews after launch for first.

If you like Metro, you will like Stalker... they play almost the same.
Its actually more like Crysis meshed with Russian style Metro.

While I do agree with this statement, it's an incredibly good idea to wait out for some patches, especially with Stalker 2. I recall the horrors of trying to play Clear Skies fresh out of the box with no patches and losing multiple saves because of the countless game-breaking bugs that still plagues that game. Luckily we have fan patches to fix what GSC couldn't, but they still have a pretty stellar track record of being absolutely terrible at bug fixes.

*in Russian accent*

What do you mean there is a bug????

Look, do this and this and this and then go here and do this and then this and see???

There is no bug. You just don't know how to play. You learn now, yeah?

Now I'm suspicious that you worked for GSC back in the day because I clearly remember someone on the official forums years ago giving me a solution when I posted about the save corruption glitch when entering Yantar from the south. Their solution was simply "don't do that".

I have been playing Enshrouded, it's pretty fun. I just got Soulmask, looks cool and promising so far.

Graphics are cute yet don't look very demanding on hardware. Looks like a fun time.

I think there's a good amount of people waiting for Stalker 2. Never played the original but I did enjoy the metro games so what I've seen of stalker 2 previews looks intriguing.

I'd say just go back and play through the originals. They often go on sale and are still a lot of fun (though they are a bit janky by today's standards). You might have to download the unofficial patch/mod for Clear Skies as it still has numerous points that can completely corrupt your saves, but that is about all you need.

I have been playing Once Human the last week or so.

There was a big update for classic Doom today on steam, announced at Quakecon. (yes I am here at Quakecon now). Basically there is a remaster for Doom and Doom II, with a bunch of new features and missions included.

It works pretty good. A friend and I tried it earlier. Steam and GoG versions play fine together. Even has a room code to use to bypass searching the game list.

I thought stalker 2 was delayed. To my surprise it's going to be out next week. Here's to hoping it's not a buggy mess on launch.
