Here's to hoping it's not a buggy mess on launch.

Did Nvidia buy a brand new 14900K to showcase this game on their cards? How many game launches will it take before the shader compilation starts degrading that CPU?

Isn't the 14th series Intel the ones with the instability issue or did that get resolved? I have a 13900k but if there was a bios update I have not done it because if something doesn't give me issues I don't feel like I need to update my bios.

If that game was developed on UE5 there's no fixing the traversal stutter but I hope at least for shader compilation they did that efficiently.

Both 13th/14th gen are impacted but it seems some samples are more prone to degradation than others.

Just checked for my Asus z790E and it looks similar, several updates over the past months. I'll update to the latest eventually as it seems to address the elevated voltage requests.

I thought stalker 2 was delayed. To my surprise it's going to be out next week. Here's to hoping it's not a buggy mess on launch.

If you were around for the previous games on launch, just keep your expectations rock bottom if you plan on playing it on day 1. I desperately want to break my "no pre-order/day one" rule for this game, but I know better and will simply have to tough it out and avoid any spoilers while it gets the requisite flurry of first-week updates to fix all the stuff they didn't catch before launch.

Was not paying attention at launch of the first game. When I wanted to play something similar months ago I booted up Metro Exodus and finally finished that.

I was also waiting to play silent hill 2 when it came to PC but I still haven't bought it. Only one patch since it released so I'm waiting until they release another one to at least iron out some of the fix A break B bugs that sometimes patches introduce so hoping for the best.
