I agree. The problem is that we all don’t age the same. Old people deserve representation too unless we want to stop taxing after people reach a certain age and not allow them to vote or be a politician at the federal level.

Obviously the fix is to vote. If it’s hard to vote out incumbents because of campaign costs then that’s a separate issue.
And to make voting easier.

Awww, you're just jealous. 😉
Thats like telling me that the generic brand is as good as the name brand. I don't fall for that one either.
Sometimes the generic brand is indistinguishable from the name brand. Take sugar: C12H22O11

I think it’s time for Congress to start talking about age limits for elected officials. Shit we all have work age limits as employees why shouldn’t Congress.
Some people have mandatory retirement ages, not all. That said, being in congress, or the supreme court or the presidency are positions too critical to the nation to gamble on the person being of good enough physical and mental health very late in life.

Kinda like a PC when it hits a bad sector on the disk that contains a critical file, everything stops while it tries and tries to read the sector...

... Eventually the sector will become complete unreadable and there will be a BSOD...

Well it's certain that by now McConnell is sketching out the line of succession to his throne. As well, the folks that have been riding his coat tails are pondering their own futures. Let's hope he has so bad of a need to remain in office at the urgings of his sycophants that in some fashion or another he pulls a Ginsberg that backfires as bad or hopefully worse because well, he deserves it in every conceivable way.

Vinyl? How old are you?

😀

Is that dementia? Doesnt look like any dementia I've ever seen. I've seen Alzheimer's up close and in detail.

He just fucking checks out.

I'm sorry, but feeling bad for these a$$holes is like feeling bad for a mass murderer, since that's essentially what they are. Sure, they may not have pulled the trigger themselves - they just gave high powered, military-style rifles to the mentally defective. And that's probably the least of their "crimes."

TIA - transient ischemic attack.
That's what I was wondering. Slurred speech, total space out - no apparent changes to the left or right side of his face though. He has wacked his head a couple times over the past year or so (which keeps getting downplayed) - so could be cumulative effects from a concussion. Not that I'm a doctor.

Not sure about this but I think that's also characteristic of temporal lobe seizures. For years after my battle with encephalitis, I would have these seizure-like events where I felt like I was paralyzed. I could force myself to move if necessary but I mostly just let them pass.

Fortunately, they were infrequent and not even especially alarming. I eventually grew out of them though.

I'd be okay with that TBH, if that's what it took to get it enacted. I don't think it would be enough to convince the majority, though.

The important thing is a person’s degree of awareness. Young or old a person can be an ignoramus or a qtub of the age.
