Will you bet me a penny and send me a letter if I'm right?
I'll bet you more than a penny. Except we'll all be dead long before the U.S. ever collapses.
Is that what your mentors told you?

One could argue that Rome was much more stable (at least during the 200 years of Pax Romana) than the US is currently. I'd say there are likely two options: either a complete collapse such as with the Western Roman Empire, or (more likely) a severe decline in influence such as with the British Empire.

Common sense and education.
You have an 'education' in voodoo economics and 'common sense' warped by corruption and patriotic blindness.
Real common sense says that if you set up a system where people can externalize the costs of their demands for resources, the demands will continuously increase and those promising the resources will continuously promise more until there is nothing left. Empirical evidence (that you continuously just try to explain away with some voodoo economics) bears this out.
The most hilarious part of all of this is that in this enormous market of corruption you are the one getting your resources raped away. And even if you did go into that market and tried to be the one doing the plundering, the market for corruption already has so many competing actors, your take would be rather meager.
The bankruptcy of this government will expose the bankruptcy of your intellect, and you will be left with little if anything at all.

I have predicted the downfall of the USA. It's easy. Oh, you want to know when? Sorry, no damn clue, but every country has fallen so far, so it's in the fate of this one and all others. This guy is a fail if he thinks Russia is on track to surpass the US any time soon at all, the place still sucks and has a shrinking population (which is only a little over 100m IIRC).
Can we say I'm off by 35M? "a little over" 100 maybe give me 5M?Originally posted by: filetitan

Part of me agrees but I've meet Texans who consider themselves Texan first and American a distant second. These people do not believe in the concept of a United States of America.

I have an idea! Post your race, state of residence, education level, gender, and the type of vehicle you drive. Making generalizations is fun!

We are in for a rough ride. But breaking up the United States is hard to do. What is so vulnerable about our political setup? We have checks and balances and a seperate military structure that doesnt pledge their allegiance to a man or party but the consitution.
It is precisely these fantasies that are going to bring this society to its knees (if it avoids completely and utter chaotic destruction).

Link it and explain then.
No, I'll continue to look sensible and you'll continue to look like a conspiracy theorist that hides behind Internet anonymity.

How do we know you have a college education? I already stated my education: B.A. in Mathematics-Computer Science.
In any event, it wouldn't matter if I really was a 'podunk' driving a beat up truck with a roll cage and a gun rack. My arguments still stand. You seem to think that an education brings authority on these subjects when it really doesn't. This is especially since the people who are 'educated' in economics disagree wildly on a whole range of fundamentals. It is actually a lot like a religion. Since the foundation is nonsense you have 50,000 factions bickering over how the voodoo really works. In reality it is just voodoo.
Here ya go: Text
All the graphs and stats you need. That series of videos was created by a guy with a PhD. That's more education than you got.
NYou got me. I'm a regular Alex Jones fan boy.
It doesn't take a conspiracy theory to understand that those who are in power want to retain their power and get more of it. It has been this way forever.
As conspiracies go the award winning documentary The Century of the Self is the best I have seen.

I think this guy is blowing smoke. Russia is in decline, their demographics, their industry, their political situation is a mess. Tossing out the old cold war propaganda for old times sake imo.
And didnt Russia have a complete collapse of their financial system about 10 years ago?
they did, so he might be speaking from experience.
