More lulz. The US has no ambassadors. Trump fired them all without replacements.

Benghazi never happened in a real embassy to begin with.

Trump will get around to these things in time I guess, like the other things he has no clue about.

I suspect that in a few weeks when the major ambassador positions are appointed, we will not have seen any difference. It is not like ambassadorships have not gone empty for weeks at a time before. Nothing will stop, our relations won't change. Life will go on.

You need one of these first.

bah, I know a redneck that's had one of those up on cinders since '75. Never talked much about it. Was touchy about anal probes though...

I don't see this as a big deal in the short term, but in the long run the have to appoint them. It's not like there's no staff there to handle day to day things. It's not uncommon for those positions to be open for while, but obviously not all of them.

Probably not.

One of my relatives was an assistant to an Ambassador to India, not that it is relevant other than I have heard a few stories in the past.

It would have been a far more interesting contest, that's for damn sure.

Less interesting I think, since Bernie wouldn't be interested in being baited into character-battles. And it would have been a ridiculous blow-out given Trump would have literally no chance of taking the Democratic firewall states against Bernie.

Hillary lost. You can quit vilifying her. Trump won. Explain how this is a good thing.

For Trump, it means you approve his Secretary of State ASAP or leave these posts open?
That's how I'd play it.

Maybe so. I was thinking more along the lines of the ideological battle than the actual Electoral battle. I think Bernie was far and away the better spokesman for his ideology than either of the other two.

The average Trump voter is likely OK with this. Not wanting to interact with other nations.

Trump is all for globalization for corporations, isolationism for everyone else.

He has way way too many overseas ventures he has refused to divest from if anyone think he's about to do anything otherwise.

Nice off topic concern trolling.
