My experience is that most tech forums have a far higher proportion of Libertarians.
And are you under the mistaken impression the majority of Libertarians are Trump supporters ?

I would add that the biggest winner is apparently Trump. His refusal to divest himself clears the way for billion dollar bribes from foreign nations. It will be interesting to see how much he can loot before his supporters turn on him.
Generally the idea in fascist type countries is to give part of the loot you don't pocket to loyalists to keep in power. Most likely that's what he (as advised by Bannon) will do for the rust belt with that trillion dollar stimulus and whatnot.
You basically saw this as news in Turkey not that long ago. Well, that's how the rest of world will be seeing us.
The only people in the Rust Belt or anywhere in this country who'll benefit from a Trump presidency & Repub congress are members of the ownership class. It's the same everywhere. It's the ideological fol-de-rol of trickle down Reaganomics all over again.

He's have to scrape the bottom of a pretty big barrel to get a worse person to run that VA office or the others that work there. Just the institution of background checks for employees is a big step up.That's certainly good news. Whether it constitutes draining the swamp depends on how many reptiles Trump puts back in it. Maybe the swamp gets a little lower, and maybe the swamp creeps a little higher. I'm thinking it's a bit early to scream "eureka" until we see if these businessmen he's appointing are good actors or bad.

I have friends that are VA dependent. I also have a great deal of respect for veterans, so yes i'm interested. This is an old story that the Obama administration knew about for months, if not longer. They did little to nothing about it, they just kicked the problem can down the road. That changed when Trump won the election and when he actually took office. These criminals are gone and in my opinion the VA will improve under the auspices of a Trump administration.I'm sure your sorts'll be real concerned when his yes-men turn out as corrupt as they will predictably be.

Agreed. But from what I've seen of Trump before his campaign, scraping the bottom of the barrel (ethically, not performance-wise) has never been difficult for him. I remain skeptical. He's have to scrape the bottom of a pretty big barrel to get a worse person to run that VA office or the others that work there. From everything I've seen over the years, it means "Replacing your crooks with my crooks."Has anyone actually defined what "draining the swamp" means or implies? So far it seems to be an easily slapped on label for anything that's different from before.

I respect skepticism, i'm skeptical about a lot of things myself.Agreed. But from what I've seen of Trump before his campaign, scraping the bottom of the barrel (ethically, not performance-wise) has never been difficult for him. I remain skeptical.
Bull...........SHIT. New standard my ass, the guy has been in office a whole week, but if you like that week, you can keep that week. PERIOD.Trump set a new standard as to what level of corruption America is willing to accept. It seems unlikely he'll appoint anybody more corrupt than himself so I doubt it will become some big deal.
I'm curious about something i heard Sandorski. In Canada do you have to show an ID when you vote ?Looks to be about accurate. Not that I think the ones there are "crooks", but that seems to be what the Pro-DrainTheSwampers seem to think.

"At the table show your proof of identity"His whole life has been a paean to corruption of one sort or another. That was obvious long before the election. He's been astoundingly good at it, too. I'm sure his skills won't desert him now.
"At the table show your proof of identity"
Thanks, i appreciate the information. It's good to know that you follow in the footsteps of so many other civilized countries and require voter ID at the polling place.
