are there live mooses there? can I see the live mooses without seeing dead mooses or moose pieces?

There are tons of them here....as i said in an earlier post, we have the largest population of moose in the lower 48 states....you could go drive the roads and see one...

it is not graphic, but it is a dead moose, but not in pieces. very tasteful pics, imo. no live moose in the pics.

30-06 - 190 grain bullets. One shoot, one kill....in the neck, which broke his neck and he just dropped no need to do anything more than that.
Most any rifle will do the trick if you get the shot right.

that is a decently heavy '06 round. nice to see you do eat what you take. is somebody going to mount it? it looks too nice not to. you can pm with the answer as this may not be pc for this forum...

thank you. :) moose are so cool. we don't have moose in south carolina, obviously, or in virginia where I lived before.. and I guess they don't thrive in the south no matter how they're housed or nurtured, I've never managed to find one in a zoo either but I've never been to a zoo north of cincinnati.. unless philadelphia is north of cincinnati.. they're probably fairly equally north.. I figure it must be a climate thing. we went to utah for christmas last year and I was sure I was going to find a moose there but NO.. deprived again.

some day I'm going to see a moose for real. meanwhile, I sure do like seeing pictures of 'em (whole, live ones). :)

Yeah how do you know if it is safe to eat it? I have no problems of people hunting as long as they eat it.

The main disease of concern for deer and moose, etc is CWD (Chronic Wasting Disease_ it has not been found in any animal in Maine, deer or moose.

Outside of that they are not carriers of any diseases, the only thing you should not do is eat the liver as it contains larger than normal amounts of cadmium, as it is such a large animal it gathers up from the plants it eats. Human symptoms of acute cadmium poisoning include severe nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, muscle cramps and salivation.

it's a shame that you are an asshat. Get over it, if you dont like hunting, then dont come in the post...as it was clearly stated "not for non hunters, etc." it amazes me how people are okay with butchering cows, fish, lamds, sheep, and what not but shoot a moose or deer and they get their panties all in a bunch!

I dont shoot animals for fun, I like to eat venison, moose, patridge, fish, etc.
It is healthier, and it keeps me form having to visit the supermarket too much...
