Imo, the old-school paper money was the ownage. It also allowed you to strike all sorts of awesome deals, or make sweet variations in the rules.

This is because the kids of today cannot count or think without a calculator/computer. The original game is too hard for them to play.

Don't say WE. I am dead set against the way kids are coddled and taught that competition and earning your way is bad. The education system of this country has become useless.

It is part of an international deal between Parker and finance giant Visa, which designed the mock debit card and its electronic machine.

... and now we know why they are doing it. <sigh> A little co-branding and money from Visa means that now Monopoly requires a battery to be played. That's no longer a board game, IMO. :disgust:

That being said, I prefer to play Monopoly in "party mode" on the Xbox. :D

anyone notice the pic says MAYFAIR? where in the US version is there a mayfair???? is this even US news? it lists pounds as the going rate for the game. I dont think it will happen here. ::Dodges tomatoes:::
