i had mono and strep throat at the same time. They misdiagnosed me for about 2 weeks and then i spent 3 days in the hospital. Not fun.

Aleve (naproxene sodium) will work a lot better than ibuprofen, just so you know.

It sucks, i know, best thing about it is that it is almost possible to sleep all the time as it makes you tired like hell, so take some Aleve and get back to bed.

I had it real bad about 5 years ago, I was hospitalized and I swore it was the end. Took me a while to recover, and I definitely havent been the same man since. It came up a bit again once or twice, and Im sure it will again in the future.

My wife had it, she said it was the worst expierence she ever had, and she's had 2 kids. So yeah, I'd imagine it does suck.

I had it last year around my birthday. I noticed I was getting tired a lot and thought nothing of it, but then I got some white spots on the back of my throat and went to the doctor.
she told me it was allergies.. so I just left it at that for then.

A little while later the spots developed into huge puss pockets on my tonsils that bled and that made it impossible to eat/swallow/anything. I lost like 15 pounds and had it for two weeks. It was definitely not fun at all.. Good luck

edit: my neck swelled up pretty bad, too. They can't give you meds because it's viral.. 🙁

I had it 2 years ago. I think it took me around 1 1/2 weeks to recover. I was ok with the tiredness and whatnot but I hated the fact that my throat was so sore.

That's good to know. I hope it doesn't take too long for me.
