If you believe this, you have never looked at a non-trash 19" CRT. I noticed the 17" CRts you have listed are ultra low end crap with the exception of the HP FS7550, maybe only seeing the very low end of CRTs is why you think this? The MX704 is particularly crappy, even though it is the highest priced CRT in your list.
I, for one, do not plan on getting an LCD any time soon. I do plan on purchasing a CRT with the PC I'm building in a couple weeks, however.

Found the product page for this on the
UK LG site, not the American site. Interestingly, review sites list horizontal refresh as 110 kHz not 107kHz, same as
F900P, which shows on all sites as a current, not end-of-life model, all other specs identical as well.
UPDATE: Went and bought my new 915FT today. Includes built in 4-port powered USB hub and both the standard VGA connector and 5-BNC inputs. Max horizontal sync is between 111-112 kHz.
