Mom buying daughter thong?

my wife likes thongs for working out. She says it's all going to end up there anyway, might as well start small.

You know, some women wear thongs to avoid a panty line when they wear form fitting pants.

The more important question is why does it bother you if you unless you like looking at 12 year old's underwear?

yes, she is right. Anyone that says they are not comfortable have never tried them on. I can understand why women wear them, and maybe i am being an old prude, but GIRLS should not be wearing them because as comfortable as they are, they are sexy too.
Once i turned 18, that is all i wore. Since then, i have found that gstrings are even more comfortable. nevertheless, i felt that was something i did when i was not a kid anymore.

she should just wear boxers then 😀

i'd buy my 12 year old daughter thongs... maybe even down to like a 5 year old...

they're comfy, you can get them wet, and they're easier to put on than shoes w/ laces, all you do is slip your foot into them...!

oh, this is thong underwear. 😛 nvm

The other day, I was escorting two female friend shopping. It so happen, they want to pick out some underwear from Victoria's Secret. So I am standing there picking out their choice, right across I notice a lady in her mid-30s with a 10-12 years old girl. The girl who work there ask the lady what size she is looking for. The lady immediately check the girl size and shout out "oh, she a extra small" and giggle afterward. I was just mind-blown by this scene. What kind of mother encourage 10-12 girl to wear thong? Am I the only one that see this as wrong?

Well... the odds are 20:1 the mom puts out big time so...

is that what she said when she married you too?

It's a free country and Vickies can do whatever they want, but I personally think they have crossed the line with their marketing to teens and pre-teens. It's mildly disturbing to see a much younger crowd lured into the stores by the playful pinks, pastel colors, stuffed animal toys and the use of puppy dogs and teenie-bopper patterns in their fabric designs, selling of non-lingerie items like sweatpants, sweatshorts, t-shirts etc etc etc.

It would be one thing for Hanes or Fruit of the Loom to start making plain cotton thongs for younger girls looking for something "more comfortable" and selling them in 3-packs at Target, Sears, etc...but the image of VS is that of sexy LINGERIE and undergarments. Look at their window displays, commercials, catalogs and TV specials...primarily they are pushing skimpy lingerie/stockings/accessories, sexy and see-through undergarments and the like. VS has been picketed against in some towns because of the provocative nature of their front window displays. They have now latched-onto the whole trend of 11, 12 and 13-year olds trying to act like adults, hanging out at the malls and going to movies alone, drinking trendy Starbucks drinks etc.

Sure, VS may sell normal plain-Jane cotton underwear and other stuff too, but most people think of VS = SEXY. The word SEXY was even one of their marketing campaigns. I think that's why OP was so surprised.

I'm no prude myself, I'm married and I encourage my wife to shop VS. And you're also not going to stop younger kids from experimenting with sex, but for Moms and Pops to actively promote sexy clothing, I am against it.

I am sorry, but this kind of thinking is illogical. It is only sexy if the intent is to be sexy. If it is just comfortable, it is fine. Even if the attention is to be sexy, as long as nothing happens because of it... if she was attacked because she was wearing "sexy" underwear, you aren't supposed to blame the victim... otherwise you could say that some rape victims "deserve" it because of how they dress.

whats wrong with that?
Its not like shes buying it to impress men, its just a form of underwear.
Not a big deal

So if you had a 10 years old daughter, you would let her wear thongs so boys and sadly...older men would stare at it? And nothing is wrong with this?

How would they see the thong through her pants? Underwear is underwear.. who cares.

because many girls wear their underwear so it IS noticable by the opposite sex. they wear LOW rise pants and their g-string or thong sticks out.

My take on this: kids are growning up faster and faster today. Sure, its a pair of underware, but it is still considered more sexy than a pair of briefs. WHen i was that age, i did shop at VS when i was that age, but my mom would only buy me regular briefs. I shopped there because that was the only underware that fit that was not "little girl" underware.
anyways, i find that distrubing, just like i find it the same way seeing girls wearing makeup and hot shorts with cropped tops.

I just disagree. I am your age and also married and I disagree.

What does being married have to do with anything? I am just saying i see this all the time, in my niceces dress, other girls too.

The reason I said it is because we are likely to both be in the same place/set of mind... My wife is pregnant...so it's kinda a current topic.. and it is likely you'd be planning it within a few years if you were to go the children route.

You do realize that the primary reason girls/women wear thongs isn't to impress men, right? It's becuase once they get used to them they're supposedly more comfortable.

I love thongs on women. No panty lines FTW!!!

Because as I've seen, there are many different types, and I'm very confused. 🙁

difference between thong and g-string.

it's all in the pics! 😀

No dude, like I've seen a non panty classified underwear cover the whole ass. Like not the whole thing, but a good deal of it.
No one has answered my question yet. 🙁

I keep trying to get my wife to wear thongs. She is a size 16 and says she is too fat. I still think she would look great

You are dead wrong on the comfort guesses. However, some women dont like showing off panty lines, hence wearing the thong. Nothing wrong with a 12 year old having one.

I think 6th grader having one is a bit...odd. A 7th + grader I have no problem. Thats because when I was in 7th grade, all the chicks wore them, and we didn't care all that much. It was hot, but it wasn't all that...well we had good girls too, before they all turned into whores in High School.
Anyway, harking back on my own question, what type of thong is featured in this movie: (NSFW, but not pr0n)

It's a joke come to life... things you don't want to hear in a VS: "Do these come in children's sizes?".

I shouldn't wear boxers because some girl might see up my shorts and see my "member". :disgust:

Ludicrous. As long as what's covering the underwear is decent you shouldn't ever see the underwear itself.

Hey, it happens. This reminds me much of my ex and her mom; would not surprise me if that same situation happened with her at that age.

Whatever floats their boat.

They're called either "boy shorts" or "tanga shorts" most times.

To be honest I know in 6th grade girls were wearing thongs and such other naughty things. Its called puberty, it was awesome (oooh and horribly awkward). OP needs to chillax.

that is wrong
even if no one EVER sees it, it is just wrong, it will give the impression to that girl that it is ok when it is not, just like wearing makeup too early or being allowed to watch rated R or adult content shows
