Of course it matters!! If she was putting on makeup, ran a redlight and got T-boned then the truck is catching a bad rap. And face it, if you even THINK lifted trucks are involved in more accidents then other types your so much a fool I wont even continue this argument. 95% of the pickups out there are not lifted.
Ahhh. So running a redlight is now an offense that can be punished with lifelong brain damage.
I don't give a damn if I was jaywalking while I was driving my car down a one-way street the wrong way with expired plates, it still doesn't make it OK for a truck to ram its bumper through my window. God made bumpers at certain heights for a reason.
But you keep up that BUM RAP argument, it might work on a retarded 6 year old.
No, IMO running a red light is an offense that should be punished by death. brian damage is a good substitute however. i have NO respect for people who run reds. Not even a little itty bitty bit.
But we dont know that thats what ahppened so its a moot point.
My point is statistically raised trucks arent that dangerous since theres just so damned few of them. What about big wings that obstruct vision? Or very heavy cars? I dont wanna get slammed into by a 3 ton frickin Lincoln or Volvo. What about radios, maybe we should take those out since it can distract drivers.
My point is people who point fingers at one thing only as a problem are just retarded. ITS A LIFTED TRUCK! BAN IT! But radios, heavy cars, and obstructions of visibility are ok..... Yeah, thats certainly a logic thats gonna get you far......
Let me get this straight. You assume, for your intenets and purposes, that the mercedes driver ran the red light that caused the accident, yet when someone else offers a contrary yet TOTALLY reasonable explanation, it is MOOT?
Yeah, nice arguments ther buddy ;roll:
As for my opinion, lifted trucks are a novelty that can cause a LOT of damage if misused. Simply jumping on the "government regulation is evil" bandwagon is just plain ignorant. I would recommend governmentally mandated trainning and inspections. If these people are not willing to learn how to use their machines that could possibly mame or kill one of my loved ones, they should not be allowed to do so. That is UNEQUIVECALLY REASONABLE for all parties involved.
No educated person seriously wants a police state, yet we, for the most part, have the common sense to appreciate the value of limited regulation. Shockwave, your argument, IMO, comes off very immature as it discounts the success that our society has allowed itself through limted government supervision. I could easily apply your argument to other aspects of life if you need clarification.
Basically, stop playing the "governemnt regulation is evil in all forms and quantities " card.
It makes you look fat.
