I wash dishes by hand and wouldn't do it any other way. I have a dishwasher that's never been run by me. It stores plasticware I seldom use.

I don't know if I believe the water stats. I've seen the way some idiots wash dishes, and I could believe it for them, but I don't use a ton of water. Maybe more than a washer, maybe not, but it's a specious argument in my case. I don't live in a desert, and my water goes right back into the ground. For now anyway. I've been threatened with public sewage, but it hasn't happened yet. It will at some point.

As far as safety goes.... I've been doing things my way for decades, and never gotten sick from my preparation/cooking/cleanup. I wish I could say the same for commercial preparation...

It tried. I ran out of free tries today. It totally screwed the pooch on the carport end and the ground level.
