I'm sorta laughing, but what if the kid didn't really take it? Maybe the school was giving out old technology for free like mine does to other poorer schools. Although his reply to that thread confirms it...

 to the mods!

An even remotely decent IP department would remove passwords and safeguards like that before giving them out. When I was in high school, we gave computers to less fortunate families and we removed safeguards, passwords and such.

Well I hope the kid gets his ass kicked, I hope he learns his lesson, and then I hope he manages to get all referece to this deleted after he turns 18 so his college apps or job apps don't get rejected by a simple google search. I've done stupid things as a kid pre-Internet and luckily there's no record of it online. I wouldn't want one stupid thing like this to ruin his chances at school or employment, if he straightened up his act.

What really scares me is the kid's complete lack of remorse. It's like "Yeah, I stole it.. but I wouldn't have if I thought I'd get caught." WHAT?!?!
This is the lesson our politicians and captains of Industry have propogated.
Morals, scruples, and ethics (not to mention integrity and character) are for suckers and as long as you're in power or think you HAVE some, you're more likely to get away with it.

Good job, Harvey.

It's good to see the AT Effect used for "Truth Justice and The American Way !" <--- ending line from what TV series?

Someone really needs to change the default icon.

I think they intentionally set the default icon as the black guy avatar so that it's pretty obvious when someone didn't bother to change the icon. I think the default used to be a nerdy guy.

It is simply the first avatar of the bunch alphabetically.

Well, there is an avatar called "default" but it is not the default and I'm pretty sure it used to be years ago.

It was probably changed during a FuseTalk upgrade.

I'm sure not complaining. I like that the black guy is the default avatar.
