TO WITH THE TD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Sweet! TO with the 7 points needed for my FF win this week! 🙂

Once again Weako proves his keen football insight. Nice performance by Culpepper. He and Moss are definitely better than Donovan and TO. Heheheh.

Thanks for the drops, Daunte.

RAAAAAAAAAANDDDYYYYY

Minnesota lost this game, between the Daunte fumble and the lack of the challenge on Owens's TD.

We didn't play all that great, but its all good. I think we were fortunate to come out with a win. This was the most dangerous opponent we have really. We should win 14+ games this year.

Moss is arrogant, but I'd say he has a right to be. Moss and Holt are pulling away from the rest of the receiving pack.

14+ you know that only leaves you with 1 more loss for the rest of the reason right?

i am an eagles fan and i do not even expect them to go 14-2

hell the pats will only go 14-2 this season if everything goes their way

U, we are 2-0 right now. 14-2 leaves us with 2 losses. Look at our schedule. Who are we going to lose to? We don't play any of the AFC powerhouse teams, except for baltimore.

I thought you were talking about the Vikings. I still doubt the Eagles will go 14-2, 13-3 more likely but 14-2 is possible

i thought you were talking about the vikings too

we will lose at least one game out of baltimore, Carolina , or green bay

luckily all these games are at home

and i'd say at least one loss for the rest

i checked the schedule during preseason but and it did seam easy but now that i look at it than it does seam very good

so there is a decent shot at 14-2 especially this year

here's hoping

We haven't heard from Deeko, he said only worry about Philly if they smash Minny... :crickets:

You haven't heard from Deeko because he's been in Sea Isle for the past few days, staying at a house with about 15 Eagles fans.

(I'd like to point out that these are intelligent Eagles fans for the most part, that I'm actually able to talk to about football, they aren't the type of brainless dolt that spouts nothing but TO IS MY GOD OMG EAGLES ARE #1 NO MATTER WHAT)

My thoughts on the game.

I didn't really see anything I didn't expect from the Eagles offense. The Vikings have an ok secondary, but the key to stopping the Eagles is the front 7, where the Vikings are horrible. No surprise to me that the Eagles scored as much as they did in this one.

However, I was impressed by Philly's red zone defense. For the most part they allowed Minnesota to march down the field, but then stopped them for 3 or less. The line put good pressure on Culpepper and the secondary locked down the receivers well.

Yes, this was a big win that certainly Eagles fans should be ecstatic about. However, I wouldn't be sizing up my fingers for rings just yet. This game was hardly a blowout...the last touchdown was clearly not even a reception, and the Vikings blew a lot of big chances with the offense sputtering in the red zone and stupid penalties. The game could have very easily gone the other way. Plus...as I've been saying, and will continue to say until I'm proved otherwise....the AFC is so dominant this year, it doesn't even matter who goes to the big game from the NFC, I can't see any of them beating the Colts or the Patriots.

As a Vikings fan I'll go along with what most of Deeko said. Yes the Eagles seem to control the line of scrimmage with their offense againts the vikings D. However as he also mentioned, you take the Culpepper fumble (about 6 inches from crossing the goal plane) and add that 7 points. Then you take the run where he was stuffed about a yard away and add another points. For good measure you could give them another 7 for the Culpepper TD that got called back for holding too (but I won't b/c he might not have made it without the holding). You could take away TO's "TD catch" b/c it's obvious he never had possesion but I won't do that either.

New score: Vikings 30, Phi 27 (which ironically is exactly what I predicted in my pickem league....heh).

It all comes down to if the breaks go your way or not. I guess that's the beauty of the NFL....any given sunday.

Well, I just don't see how you defend against their offense. They have too many weapons. You put your safeties on TO, Pinkston can become a gamebreaker. You'd need all-star cornerbacks, or at least one. You have to be able to stop the run or Westbrook can chew up huge chunks of yardage. And when you're busy stuffing Westbrook, McNabb takes off for 15 yards. Remember, the guy is near unsackable. He's the same size as the linebackers rushing him, but he's faster. They have a really potent, solid offense. Their D showed yesterday that they can play some tight red-zone defense. They just look really, really good to me.
