I'd hit it.

Heh heh yes, and you don't even have to tell her to "get in the kitchen and bake me a pie" because that's what she likes to do.

I thought RR didn't like to bake.

RR might be packing just a hair over the line on the weight, but its certainly not anywhere into turn off territory. She's sort of a goofball, but I still think she's got it going on. She looks pretty good in those pics posted.

Looks good, likes to cook and makes cute little noises when puts stuff into her mouth. What is not to like?

Reviewing something w/o filming it is one thing, but to let a camera in is a totally diff't situation.

You think that they sign a contract agreeing to give a positive review under all circumstances? I'd have a hard time believing that.

Ever watch Anthony Bourdain's show? He's got a camera (obviously). I admit, he is a bit pompous, but he has no hesitation when revealing his true feelings.

I don't watch any of the Food Network shows really. I've only caught Rachel Ray's show because my GF absolutely loves it.

But I know I wouldn't let a camera into my restaurant (if I owned one) if they were going to eat my food on camera and then say it tasted like crap.

That reminds me of that episode of jackass where they went into some asian food joint and planted a dog turd in their noodles so they could complain about it.

For guys though, gotta admit, I have a very soft spot for the Naked Chef. And perhaps for Tyler Florence too, except I feel like he macks on all the older ladies in his Food 911 show.

<-------- Food TV Network buff

Jamie and Tyler are cool, I like their shows. And Tyler is definitely putting moves on all the older ladies on Food 911. I like Good Eats too, but I always miss it.

Now, Rachel is cute and all, but she does get annoying sometimes. I haven't seen Giada much because I don't watch a lot of tv and because I saw one episode where she made panini sandwiches and I haven't watched it since.

I understand what you are saying and I'm not denying something like this goes on w/ much of the programming on the Food Network. That's why I made the comment alluding to her being a fraud.

In any case, if the Food Network came to a restaurant and presented the owner an opportunity for national exposure w/ no guarantees, I'd imagine they would get plenty of willing participants.

She's a cutie in that hot mom kinda way...

I find I enjoy the travelling shows the best.. A Cook's Tour, Thristy Traveller, the old Carlo Rota show The Great Canadian Food Show... Tyler's Ultimate is alright, but he's kinda flaky...

I'm just shocked on how many of you are forced to watch the food network. You are forced, right?

Nope... I prefer to be the cook, as I enjoy my food in an edible state...

that said, I have no pre-disposition for having to cultivate a "macho" image, Ergo, I enjoy doing the majority of the cooking, though I stay the hell away from baking.. anything requiring prcise measurements of ingredients is lost on me... I just like throwing stuff in the pot and seeing what comes out.. :D

Good Eats is a way awesome show to watch, Unwrapped is kind of fun in a way. Rachel Ray has the eye candy. There is usually some intersting food factoid program on to watch. Sometimes it is like the History Channel for food.
I used to dig Iron Chef, but it got kind of old watching the reruns over and over again. The Iron Chef America just kind of lacks - except for Alton Brown, of course!

Some shows I can't not stand. I didn't like Martha Stewert's show, I can only tolerate Emeril Live in small doses and Bobby Flay annoys me.
I used to like Ming Tsai, but guess he is not on Food Network any longer.

It's kinda like the saying, more cushion for the pushing. Shes got herself a nice rear end, but her cooking is lackluster. I give her a 8, because of her weird recipes
Does anyone have a link to any giada de laurentis pics because I cant find any. Shes fine!

I remember she did a picnic 30 minute meals one time, She nipped out while doing a watermelon eating contest. She won, and when she stood up, those headlights were in the perfect position, FRONT AND CENTER and pointing slightly upward.

To me, she is totally doable.

I agree. Good Eats rocks. It's like cooking for chemistry geeks.

Shes so thin, sometimes her head doesn't seem to fit her body. Rachels hands are butt ugly too if you ever see her cooking. They look like chubby kid hands. GAH.

Rachel Ray is not fat at all...you guys that think so have distorted views on reality. She is slim and looks damn good in a 2 piece bathing suit..yes I have seen her in one. Her happy go lucky smile is killer , if anything she needs a boob job.
