But not unexpected. One of the symptoms of feeling inferior is the need for somebody, anybody, to look down on. It is what fueled racial bigotry and it is what fuels homosexual bigotry. Not only do you get to vent all your self hate on others, but you get the pseudo-love of other bigots. And for these crumpets we sacrifice the Kingdom of Heaven.

"There has not been a unified voice out of our community since the assassination of Dr. King," Long said. A strong segment of society, he said, "want to go back to basic, fundamental moral beliefs."

Fvckin hypocrites! Do they already forget that slavery and 'white-power' used to be a "fundamental moral belief" too?

hypocrite? why, is she gay? or do you mean because of the marching her father did for black equality is equivalent to gay rights? while i neither condemn or support either stance, being black and being gay are not the same thing. homosexuality is a choice, race is not.

Lets not get into the whole "Homosexuality is/isn't a choice" discussion again. There are at least a dozen threads on it.

Don't generalize. It's bad for you.

We have to. It's at the heart of the anti-gay movement. The irony is that those who will accept blacks for who they are and not what they are, find it unacceptable that someone is gay instead of looking at his/her character.
It's simply not fair.

Dari, is it an accepted fact that homosexuality isn't a choice? I was under the impression that it's not clear. (Surely, you're not simply dismissing any studies that say otherwise)
