MLB2k9 coming for the PC!

i hope it's more than a straight console port. nba 2k9 had some issues like slow menu which never got fixed. but i am glad even for a console port that PC will finally have a baseball game again.

oh and keep the prices down like nba 2k9 it was only 19.99.

That would be freaking wonderful. I'm still playing MVP 2005 with MODS that bring the game up-to-date.

Where do you get the mods? I loved 2005, but it just became too outdated for me to really enjoy.

You can try eamods.com as well.

Looks like i'm picking up a baseball game in the coming months.

NBA 2K9 for my Pc was is the only basketball game to stop me from playing NBA 2K3 on my gamecube. I get 60fps constant (unless in replays where the game caps at 30, 45 and sometimes 60) on maximum settings with 8x AA.

Since its 2K sports theres a chance it wont suck donkey balls.

I am still waiting for another decent golf game. There hasnt been a good one since PGA Tour 2003. We need Microsoft to make some more Links games.

yes the actual game is good, but on NBA 2k9, the PC version has a slow motion (~3 frames/sec) menu bug if you own a usb keyboard which hasn't been fixed and likely will not get fixed. it's excruciatingly annoying to navigate the menu as it is as it's consolized but slow motion makes things much more annoying. so unless it's a show stopping bug though i don't see them making patches for these new games.

The Show 08 just blew MLB2k8 out of the water but I thought 2k7 on the 360 was pretty damn good. I'm hoping for an improved game this time around and while I'll be purchasing The Show 09 for the PS3 I'll pick up the PC MLB2k9. By the way..the game will be only $20 and comes out March 3rd! Nice price!

cool, i'll be getting it for sure then. likely won't have online play like nba2k9 but oh wells.

It definitely doesn't have online play. As far as the price NBA2k9 was the same price $19.99 and it used Steam as copy protection which I prefer over Securom. Hopefully the level of Securom they implement is just a DVD check and not the full blown version where it installs the Securom service.
