We are ready to rumble! For 3 god damn hours. Last night's game was 3.5 hours? And only 6 runs scored. Geez.

for whatever reason, I always think he's been around since ~1998. I'm always confusing him with someone else, I think.

He's also played on some dozen teams, so you just hear his name a lot, lol.
4 different MLB teams (in case you were curious). He was drafted by the Cardinals, but didn't play his first game until after he was traded to Cleveland (I remember watching him play for the Buffalo Bisons, Cleveland's AAA affiliate at the time). It's nice seeing him back on the team.

Anyone sick of these worthless "first ever" "Record" stats that they have been pulling from the depth of their collective asses from the leadup through these current two games? It's really beyond the pale, considering how bad they normally are with these "First player on a 72-30 team in July to bat 2nd and hit 1 homerun and a double in a single game while playing 2 positions since 2013" garbage stas. I mean...fuck off already.

<3 Tim Wakefield's days on the Bisons.

they started this game early to avoid he rain, but this game is draaaaaging along....this still might go to 11pm local. So far 90 mins in to cover 3 innings.

Edit: to add, how impressive is Schwarber!

Good lord, tell me about it. The Red Sox hired some crap writer to spew junk like this all season. I switched to the opposing broadcast whenever they had him in the booth.

50 pitches on Bauer through 3 innings. Cubs have been working it and, consequently, the game is taking forever. lol. Or was it 80 pitches? 50 doesn't sound all that bad, really...

And yeah, holy shit with Schwarber. It's like that guy never had any time off.

one thing i have realized watching the series:

i need to grow a large luscious beard
That was my mission in 2013.
