I'm not aware of any specifics. But have heard both sides of the aisle want to address it. Our code is ridiculously complicated and we need to fix a few things like lower our highest corporate tax rate in the world among developed nations. And remove taxation on bringing money earned over seas stateside.

Highest corporate taxes? Our taxes are pretty low. Also as someone who works overseas I pay no USA taxes on the first $96000 or so. The real problem is that the USA is the only country who double taxes it's citizens overseas. Plus they make it really difficult for expats by hassling foreign banks. You might want to read this. It's a big deal.

So basically it works like this. I pay the local taxes and then get taxed again by the USA after $96000 in income.

Pretty much lame duck time, they'll try to look like they are passing things, attach repeal Medical Coverage to everything they try to push through, and everything will be vetoed for two years.

Quote me on that one if you want, for most major issues.

I think your pretty spot on. Nothing significant will get done. So we have another two years of more of the same.

I talking about corporate taxes. Same idea though. Why are we taxing profits made in different countries? The result is hundreds of billions stuck in off shore accounts or companies that never make it back into our economy. It also causes companies to play games with the system. Like I believe Apple uses a foreign subsidiary to charge Apple in the US licensing fees that effectively takes Apples profit in the states off shore while leaving the stateside Apple in a position to pay very little taxes. We are the only country to do this afaik. It needs to go away. And our top corporate tax rate is the highest in the world. Though I believe our top rate is actually 35%.

Republicans had the chance and were needed to help construct the ACA law at its birth.
But NOOOO, republicans refused any cooperation back then.
So NOW, McConnell wants to take part?
I don't think so.
If anyone believes McConnell has any desire other than to kill off ACA, you might also be interested in that bridge McConnell has for sale in Brooklyn.
Obama will now go from president Obama to president veto.
And rightly so.

And yet you still ignore the historic elections of 2014.

America gave a big fuck you to Obama. It's glorious.

This is an example of your zeal for bashing Obama making you sound even more detached from reality than normal.

You've a long and well documented history of shrugging off inconvenient facts when they conflict with your view through that keyhole. Likewise, mundane or irrelevant news is often lauded by you as some earth shattering development with underpinnings that will affect every aspect of life as we know it. Kinda of like how you are trying to paint the expected election results as some kind of profound 'turning of the tides.' I guess this 6 year election trend has somehow eluded you. You should take a minute to look up what's happened to pretty much all second term presidents at the time of mid term elections for the last, oh 50 years?

Not that your spittle laced rants aren't fun to read, but I think at some point you have to get tired of embarrassing yourself? Your opinions would be worth more if you had any credibility. Why not try to change that? Less spit more polish?

Voting for a guy like McTurtle after what he's done strikes me as similar to the abused woman who takes her lying, violent boyfriend back, because this time he's changed his abusive ways. Now the woman is trying on dresses and telling the people going wtf that they don't understand and are just jealous, possibly anti-marriage America haters too.

Political conservatives need your kind like a drowning man needs an anchor.

How would stopping taxes on foreign profits stop Apple from doing what it's doing - funneling domestic profits through wholly-owned foreign subsidiaries?

I think it is obvious that a re-writing of that part of the tax-code is necessary, but I don't think simplicity is implicitly better. The regulations have gotten so long partly because simplicity didn't cover everything. We've created tax-breaks and whatnot to favor certain types of businesses and transactions, but then other businesses came along and figured out how to work their own profits through what would now be considered a loophole since we didn't intend for them to originally operate that way.

I suspect they would stop the practice if the laws were changed where it werent beneficial. They may still do something similar. But the money can be brought back stateside. I believe Apple has tens of billions of dollars that will never come back into the country under our current tax law.

One thing we also need to realize. These guys will always game the system. That is what they do. But that shouldn't stop us from fixing glaring issues within our tax code.

So you are denying the historic elections of 2014? It's very funny watching the libs totally deny reality, truth, logic and common sense. "oh, it wasn't a big deal, nothing really happened...I must be dreaming, that didn't really happen...all is OK, Obama is still good and the people love him! Praise be Obama!"

I mean Obama said his policies were up for election. The people have spoken in the historic election tidal wave of 2014. Don't deny facts, truth and logic - embrace reality that Obama got a big FUCK YOU from America.

After the historic elections of 2014 watch for more dems to side with republicans in the Senate as they try to repair Obama's failed presidency and our nation. They know what will happen to them if they follow fuckstain in the white house. Probably enough to override obummers veto.

Were you not paying attention to the historic election? Democrats wanted NOTHING to do with Obama.

Every election is an historic election. Just wait a few more years and the Republicans will be kicked out in another historical election. And some years after that the Dems will be kicked out again in yet another historical election.

The only way politicians know how to campaign is through hate messages. Hate messages only work when you are the minority party not in control. Hate messages work against you when you are the majority party in control. The cycle will continue with new historical elections at every turn.

What about getting rid of healthcare completely.

You're just jealous because, no matter how much Obamacare covers, it won't help Republican tea tards like you because there is no cure or treatment for stupid.

Why would I be jealous about a corporate tax?

Not really. In terms of turnover 2010 was truly historic across the board at every level. This one just the nail in the coffin for fuckstain in the white house.

FBHO

Republicans ran again on a platform of stopping Obama, they won in a landslide sending that fucker a big FUCK YOU OBAMA!
