Police could have easily been brought in in enough numbers to crush this in minutes but they decided not to as a show of good faith or whatever...

Actually the businesses needs the consumer to survive, and i'm pretty sure more than half of the community probably feel as that alot of businesses doesn't do anything for them anyways. Especially, when you can order majority of what you want/need online.

I was thinking the same thing as those words came out of his mouth. This is what obama gets for sending Eric Holder and Al Sharpton to Ferguson. The thugs were going to riot anyway... they could care less about Michael brown... but that liquor store with the busted door is where the action is at.

The thugs were working on their Christmas list ahead of time and where to loot. Looks like Christmas came early for many of those bastards.
 
Good thing the protesters are showing everyone that they are out for justice and they are peaceful. Oh wait, they are rioting and looting every store in sight. Yep, peaceful and out for justice for sure.

Meanwhile our resident idiot in the white house is busy telling us how we are a nation of laws (apparently that doesn't apply to illegals or to race rioters). What a sad state of affairs.
 
So... what happened to all the "fuck the police" users who dominated this thread not too long ago? They should all be so happy the police are less militarized for benefit of the residents of Ferguson.

Wonder how long until Wilson shoots another black kid for sport. What is funny is he got married, hope his wife doesn't plan on having kids, if they ever back talk they'll catch a bullet.

My wife's family lives very close to where all this is going down (they live in Florrisant, close to Ferguson), probably a mile or two away from some of this stuff. It's scary right now. The police are obviously not in any position to respond to much of anything, so looting/breakins/burglaries are rampant right now. They are pretty much hunkering down in their house, thankfully well armed in case of trouble.

If ever there was a good example of why everyone should have the right to bear arms, this is it. You can't count on the cops to protect you or maintain law and order, you have to protect yourself and your family.
