This is what I find most baffling about this. The autopsy pretty much refuted every single "mainstream media" eyewitness and yet people kept parroting the "hands up don't shoot" bullshit. None of the major outlets kept refuting it, they just let it go. Then they give Ben Crump a free ride every time they interviewed him, refused to challenge him on the bullshit.

All you had to do is look at the autopsy and dismiss every single major witness and actually go with more of the leaked (intentional or not) stuff. That and CTH had the forensics pegged as far as where the shooting started and stopped and where the shell casings were.

Jeffrey Toobin on CNN called the first part of the prosecutor's statement "whining" about the media and said it was an embarrassment.
I really hope some people in powerful positions in media outlets really listened to the statement and take to heart how damaging it is for them to broadcast narratives put together without any responsible cross-checking.
