T
me to.
I try to go to a local team called the "ice hogs". tickets are $20 for good seats and my kids have a blast.
hockey is so much better in person then on tv. but i do enjoy watching on tv.
I want the Red Wings on my TV.
There's some decent college teams around here that are fun to watch. Until the NFL season is over I'll be okay. The Avalanche haven't been very good lately anyway so I've been losing interest.
wait, there's a hockey lockout?
sweeeeet, none of that crap on ESPN.
I used to care about the NHL until they convinced me that it was silly of me to care more about it than the players and the owners care about it. Now I don't give a flying f what they do.
Yeah, 'cause ESPN used to show soo much hockey.![]()
I am missing it. But I hope the players dont cave, because at this point the owners are being retardedly greedy. 4 lockouts in 20 years? Cmon, you got everything you wanted last time around and now you want MORE? Good lord.
It's funny because now ESPN is showing KHL games. There is more hockey on ESPN now then before the lockout.
There are two season per year, summer and hockey: this year, summer is taking too damn long.
How is Detroit financials? I don't understand how the team is surviving.
Yup, but only if the league hasn't taken any previously agreed upon items off the table. That is a great offer and inline with all the other sports and calls for no roll back. They can't get a better offer.

If Fehr puts the kibosh on this his agenda will have been exposed.
I understand those issues but what does the NHLPA get in return for reducing their share to 50%?Well the argument has been all along about two things. One the split percentage and what is considered hockey revenue. So who knows where they are as to what is considered hockey related revenue. But no way can NHL players expect better than a 50/50 split considering they trail all the other major sports and all the other sports are 50/50 splits.

Don't get me wrong, I hope it works. But just because 50/50 is a nice, round number, doesn't mean it solves everything. The NHL has still yet to "give" anything in these negotiations.
They "gave" and "got" exactly what they wanted the last time. Obviously they weren't happy with it... hence this lockout.Didn't they "give" a lot last CBA?
