This thread is about hockey son. Go away

The better team lost, but the better coached team won. Rahim "the nightmare" should be cut for the worst play in NFL history. Thats all there is to say

What is the deal with everyone talking about the weather like Manning can't play in it? All the Baltimoron's won't shut up about it. I can't wait until they are obliterated tomorrow. It simply can't come soon enough.

I'm in such a great mood, nothing can bring me down bitches.

KHL - is a pleasure to watch...

NHL - Ice Hockey mixed with boxing...

KHL - finesse Hockey...too bad, that most Ice Hockey fans in US actually never heard of...
KHL - Ice Hockey, when players play with sticks a puck instead boxing and punhching their faces...

Yea im excited for puck drop, but still bitter that im not going to get to see the flyers play in Nashville this year.

Fuck Nashville. They matched that sheet to Weber and are paying his $26M bonus with Flyers gate money. I'm clearly still bitter about that. :) Seriously, though, I hear you. I'm hoping that the eventual realignment puts the Flyers in the same division as the Bruins (not the current proposal). I'd love to go to more games, and Amtrak goes right from my town to the Garden in under 2 hrs. And the train sells delicious Maine beers.

My biggest worry is that there will almost definitely be another work stoppage at the end of this CBA. I guarantee the NHL expands further over the next few years, which does nothing to fix the economics of the bottom of the league.

I'd change my tune completely if they just relocated two teams without expanding. Hopefully moving to Brooklyn fixes the Isles, but something needs to be done about Columbus and Phoenix. Ideally, Quebec City and Hamilton get teams, but the latter is most definitely going to be stonewalled by Toronto - even though they absolutely cannot ever meet the demands of their fan base. There are just too many fans in that area. Give 'em another team so people aren't paying $300 for shitty seats from stubhub. Please, NHL, stop fucking yourselves so you can stop fucking us out of hockey every 5-7 years.

The reason the players wanted more revenue sharing is so that it wouldn't matter if the bottom teams in the league are profitable on their own. If that plus the significant revenue shift in favor of the owners results in most teams being profitable, I think the next CBA will not be such a big deal. The owners were willing to sacrifice half the season because most of them lose money on regular season games anyway. If that is no longer true in 8-10 years, there will be much less incentive for a long lockout.

Does that make you feel better about yourself? Being a fair weather Skins fan where you will never win anything? At least I have 3 more good years of Manning to look forward to, you have an accident waiting to happen even if Bob 3 does come back, he'll only get hurt again - that will be his career forever.

I know, but they said the same thing after the 04-05 lockout. They'd fixed the league's economics with a hard cap, yadda yadda. They also said they thought clubs were going to lower ticket prices because of lower expense control, more cost certainty, etc. I believe Bettman himself actually said it.

It takes a lot of revenue sharing to prop up Phoenix and Columbus unless you (meaning the league) are OK with them assembling shitty teams and just spending to the cap floor. A healthy league has all of its clubs being able to spend to the cap. I'm not convinced the new CBA creates that environment, but we'll see.

As it stands, the cap floor is 44M and there are 6 teams closer to the floor than they are to the cap (64M). Only one of those teams is any good (St. Louis) and I don't think that's a coincidence.

I'm starting to think Denver can't win anything with such a historic playoff choker at the helm.

scared of eating crow, eh?

I guess you should have your hockey fun, though--but another thing that I have never liked about Denver fans: fucking Av hosiers. Next to the generic Philly sports fans, some of the worst in sports.

Go Wings! :D

AMDZen, could you just go over to the NFL thread and take your insults like a man so they don't have to come to the NHL thread?

Go ahead and do it here. You already started. You will immortalize quotes that I made where I was clearly over confident, but I'm over it. There is always next year. More then I can say for some of you fans of other teams. Doubt the skins even make it again next year. That was as large a fluke as Tebow carrying us last year was.

I can chalk up a miserable loss to the absolute worst defensive play in Broncos history, and possibly the worst in all of NFL history. I'm over it now. It did take several days though.

Sure I'll "eat crow", but the Ravens didn't win that game, the Broncos lost it. The better team lost, but the better coached team won. Now Flacco will get pwned by Brady which honestly, I feared would happen to the Broncos any way. There is always next year. The last time we got beat as double digit favorites in a playoff game at home we went on to win 2 super bowls in a row.

Also, I'm not saying the Avs will do anything this year but they are on the upswing with some of the best young talent in the league. Wings are on the downward spiral where I could easily see them miss the playoffs this year and for years to come. Lidstrom was holding that team together. Where the Avs start a string of consecutive playoff appearances with the second youngest team in the league. Our captain is the youngest ever, all of our talent is 20-23 years old which is rediculous. When they reach their prime, we will be a great team. Tons to look forward to as an Avs fan and as a Broncos fan too.

Fuckin A, Wings tickets are practically sold out and it's just the presale.

Hard to find 2 seats next to eachother for most games.

$60 for standing room, Meh, guess I'll be on the couch.

superior football IQ on display, again? Not sure if you've noticed, but the Ravens have been playing tremendously well over the last couple of weeks. The better team wins games, you know--which is what happened last week. Whether or not the Broncos were better all year, is honestly up for debate at this point, considering the cupcakes they feasted on.

anyhoo, I'm out. I don't want to muck up the hockey thread.

Literally the worst defensive play in all of Broncos history, AINEC and they were the better team? That was the biggest fluke play in all of existence. The Broncos didn't play a great game defensively, but they had done enough to win prior to allowing the worst coverage mistake, arguably of all time.

You go ahead and keep living in your hole where you have to root for some other team that isn't where you live. Bandwagon douche nozzle. At least I get to see my teams play live. I think some of you just have to rub it in to make you feel better about your crummy lives :p

LOL

says the guy who was talking the most shit out of ANYONE on the boards and being SUPER SUPER confident about his team, basically rubbing in the win BEFORE the game even played out. talking about how ANYONE who even THOUGHT that the ravens had a SLIGHT chance of winning the game was a moron and how he has the greatest football iq out there, especially those who think the ravens had a remote chance of winning.

hilarious!

such a sore loser.

What part of biggest fluke play of all time don't you understand?

And clearly you have no life where you are still holding on to it. Coming in a hockey thread just to discuss football.

the worst play?

that implies one play. I guess you were too drunk/frozen to watch from the stands, but Champ Bailey was giving it up ALL GAME. He'd already given up two deep TDs before the last OT.

Of course, do ignore Manning's pick 6's and game-losing pick. Please continue to ignore that this is yet another choke in his playoff history. The Manning can do no wrong, right? so just take it all off on the one guy...poor, sad losers.

Allowing a 70 yard TD with 40 seconds left is inexcusable. It never happens. That was the first time and probably the last time we'll ever see it. Ever.

The game was over if that play didn't happen. Prevent defense shouldn't have allowed it to take place at all. All the plays that happened before and after that are irrelevant. :p

BTW, I thought you were done???

How long are you going to keep discussing this?
