Missed my first day of work in years

I tweaked it stretching last Friday and again raking leaves on Monday. It was bothering me off and on last week but it suddenly flared up on Saturday morning for no apparent reason.

This is the worst pain I've ever had.

I'll be going to the chiropractor in a couple of hours. Hopefully she can fix me.

That sucks, hopefully just muscular tho. I screwed mine up years ago by crashing in a bike race.....it was so bad I had to take a medical withdrawl from my last semester of college.

Hot packs, cold packs, and Advil will be your friends the next few weeks.

I've taken plenty of vacation, but I've only had a handful of sick days in my 30 or so years of working.

Get some rest. Hopefully, you heal quickly. If the pain persists, maybe your doctor could prescribe some Percocet to ease some of the pain.

That was too bad to miss your last semester. Has it given you much trouble since then?

Not really since my injury was basically just muscular. I try to keep my core strength up as much as possible to prevent re-injuring it since cycling places a lot of stress on the lower back. A good friend of mine who had two discs fused showed me a bunch of good stuff to do with a stability/yoga ball (part of his rehab process).....you may ask your doc about that once you get healed up.

B.S If you live near a huge tourist area like I do you can. The greedy resteraunt owners don't give a sh!t about laws just money.

sounds like my dad.... back problems are utterly crappy!

I have the same bad back.... at age 23, raking leaves for 15 minutes and I have to sit down and let it rest.

I am perfectly fine otherwise, it's just the damn back pains!

I took a sick day today because I caught the flu or something like it. Damn I feel horrible. Here's hoping you get well soon.

I hope your back is better soon!
I've only missed 2 days in many many years... neither time was I able to transport myself to the ER... I had to be taken there.

on a similar note, i have had the last 5 weeks off from my work after having major back surgery. (l5-s1 fusion)...
i think i will be out til christmas.

take care of your back.

Are you like 70 years old?

LOL. well, he DOES have 30 years of working....

Nah, I'm 44. I've been earning money since I was about 12.

I missed a couple of days of work but I'm back to about 90% now.

I've been working out hard nearly every day for the last year and a half so I think the rest was good for my body.

I'll probably start working out again this weekend.
