9 innings x 3 outs = 27
or if you're winning 24 going into the bottom of the 9th at home

or less if its rained out. whats the rule, 6 innings?
What about if the game is called after a certain point?
Minimum number of innings to call a game x 3?
Not sure about the 24 thing. You would still throw 27 to win the game. If you are winning and going into the bottom of the 9th, you are at bat and just pitched your 9th inning (9 x 3 = 27).
1 pitch. if the score is tied 7-7 and they bring you in with two outs, you pitch 1 pitch, get the out. your team comes up scores, assuming you are the home team, you win the game.

5 innings.something that should be investigated further 😉
0 is the correct answer.
15. Game is official after 5 innings so if it's gone 5 innings and starts raining on and on, the game is over..
Could be 0 if the other team forfeits, I suppose.
need to show your work
A player is called out if, when the pitcher is set to throw, the batter switches to a different side of the plate.
If every batter on one team does this, the game will end with one team not throwing a single pitch.
I'm talking about total team pitches, not what is needed for an individual to be declared the 'winning pitcher'

winner!
there are other ways such as not stepping into the batter's box at all
another interesting way to reduce the number of pitches is a balk once a runner is on base. it is then possible to close an inning with only 2 pitches (and a triple play)

Game 2 of the 1885 World Series was forfeited when St. Louis pulled its team from the field to protest the umpiring.
Disco Demolition Night: On July 12, 1979, the Chicago White Sox held a game in which Chicago radio personality Steve Dahl came onto the field to blow up a box full of disco records between games of a doubleheader. Rowdy and intoxicated fans, who had packed Comiskey Park beyond capacity, immediately stormed the field, engaged in various acts of vandalism and theft, and refused to leave the field until the arrival of Chicago Police in full riot gear. Umpires postponed the game. American League President Lee MacPhail later declared the second game of the doubleheader a forfeit victory for the visiting Detroit Tigers.
