History has shown that man is always at war; that man is always a liar; a thief; a manipulator; an abuser of the weak.

History has shown a lot of things.

We are talking about what you are going to do. Do you accept this behavior of humans or not? By accepting it, we're undoubtedly going to continue mankind's evil ways.
well I am too old to be drafted, also have a medical issue that would have been an immediate out for any type of draft, so I am not going to be an active participant, that's for sure. I dunno, I guess I am going to my best to peacefully protest, call out lies, especially those regarding issues leading to war or marginalization of a group of people. So a twatwaffle like this milo is on my radar, hence this thread.

There are plenty of manipulators and fear mongerers like Milo. There are many followers of these people - I guess they like the lies and fear propaganda that people like Milo, Alex Jones and the rest of them push. These guys are seemingly working with the Trump regime, with a similar message - be vary of the "other" people.

Milo doesn't seem like real at all. At least with Alex Jones, he's been around for a while and seems somewhat real despite his fear propaganda. This Milo guy just looks like an actor playing his part.

I partially agree with this especially the last statement. milo seems like more of an attention whore than a white supremacist, but the message is still hate, no matter the messenger, and he has zero regrets about stirring those flames of stupid hatred.

Milo is, essentially, Ann Coulter in drag and with the same degree of authenticity.

It's one of the oddities of modern 'conservatism'. Conservatism's biggest attraction to a lot of folks is that they can make a lot of money out of *being* a 'conservative'. Obvious examples are people like Milo, Coulter, Limbaugh, O'Keefe. One of the best of the best examples is Phyllis Schlafly who had a long and lucrative career telling women that they really didn't want careers and should stay at home making babies and taking care of their men.

It sure ain't the conservatism of my distant youth. <shrug>

EDIT:Interesting link with a bit of his back story

I put a smiley in my poke at Sheik, which means it was not a mean comment.

If someone had knowledge of this and basic comprehension, would you say it would be appropriate to poke fun at Sheik or import in that situation? Can you explain that decision making process there?

My comment was describing what is going on today. I have NEVER downplayed how bad antebellum slavery was. In fact I've commented that I have pride in my ancestors for being abolitionists and actively helped runaway slaves escape. But the past is the past and none of us can change it. It's perfectly proper to talk about the slavery that goes on in the world today; something that the world community SHOULD work to eradicate. Wouldn't you agree?

What does on there a la unjust labor contracts isn't anything like the slave trade. American conservatives just like to draw an equivalence to make their enslavement of blacks look better.

Today we're paying for debts owed by people who got out of paying by downplaying their role in it.

That doesn't answer the question.

It was a personal choice. In spite of disagreeing with Sheik, I think he's an ok guy; he can take a little harmless poking. Not every question has a deep-seated answer. Besides, there are scads of posts on here that I could reply to, but don't; mostly because I don't have time. It's really that simple, son.

The people living today are not responsible for what their great great grandparents did. Just as I get no credit for what my great great grandparents did by helping runaway slaves. By your analogy, the great great grandchildren of the slaves that my ancestors helped escape should look for my family and thank them; and maybe slip a little cash their way for the risk that our ancestors took in helping their ancestors as my ancestors did their deed during the time of the fugitive slave laws. I know that won't happen and I have no belief that it should.

I speak from personal life experience here. Let the past go. Don't let it rule you or you will never grow.

Anything to avoid helping the trodden down, those stuck in vicious cycles of poverty, and those living in the aftermath of centuries of persecution.

They oughta just pick 'em selves up by them bootstraps, goshdangit!

I think we both know why you're obligated to protect your own as first priority.

The situation at hand is that you choose to carry water for those responsible (and their estates) for crimes, by insisting that no debt is accrued from their lasting consequences. Though that's to be expected from the ideology of irresponsibility and self-serving interest.

Your ancestors once upon a time did the worthy thing and ended up on the right side of history, I'd imagine they must be pretty disappointed at the new legacy of their descendant.

Millennial men of any race are kinda fucked honestly.

You can actually see it on alot of their faces.

I reflected on what it was like growing up in the 90's and 00's and found it pretty interesting how I was raised versus how adulthood really works.

I watched him on real time with Bill Maher on Friday.

Def agree that he mostly seems like an attention whore. Nothing he said was terribly intellectually remarkable, most of his persona just seemed geared towards attracting attention.

Maher called him a little British i love you in jest. As appropriate as I've ever seen the term used.

I do give him credit for being able to attract such attention in an already oversaturated conservative media market. Too bad it's mostly for just being shamelessly offensive and rude.

It's OK to call someone a i love you if they're conservative. Didn't you know that? It's only bad if they're liberals or Democrats. It's only hate speech and violence if it's directed at the left, if it's directed towards the right it's a peaceful protest and telling it like it is. You need to learn the new political rules.

Sorry, what are you even saying?

This sounds a lot like male victimhood to me.

I'm assuming he'll be hired on at FoxNews relatively soon as their latest blonde.

Yeah, he looked bad on Real Time. It was painfully obvious that he had no interest in discussion with the other panel members, he was just desperately trying to get everyone to pay attention to him and eventually just resorted to name calling. It was embarrassing for him, but also for Maher for having that guy on. At least Ann Coulter knows her shit.

he wasn't there with the panel. Milo was the first one-on-one guest, so only there to chat with Bill.

...that one dude on the panel though, the former intel dude...holy shit, that guy was legit. I want to see more of him.

Malcolm Nance.

Sorry for the Brietbart link, but CPO Nance totally, and accurately labeled that Steven Miller dude as Baby Goebbels. lmao!
