he wasn't there with the panel. Milo was the first one-on-one guest, so only there to chat with Bill.

Uhm, did you watch it? He was definitely there with the panel. In fact he kept trying to talk over everyone so much that Bill told him to shut up repeatedly.

Edit: ah, I see, he was only with the panel on the aftershow. That doesn't surprise me that much that they cut him from the regular broadcast I guess.

that's probably Overtime that you are talking about. The first guest is always a one-on-one interview with Maher and never sits with the panel. The Overtime stuff that they put on online is a bit different from the broadcast show. The show is live, though, so I'm not sure how long it takes them to put together the overtime stuff--maybe it's pre-recorded?

Yeah, he looked bad on Real Time. It was painfully obvious that he had no interest in discussion with the other panel members, he was just desperately trying to get everyone to pay attention to him and eventually just resorted to name calling. It was embarrassing for him, but also for Maher for having that guy on. At least Ann Coulter knows her shit.

Actually I like that Bill Maher had him on. He's been made into this big bogeyman so many are getting angry and afraid of. I do agree with Bill and Milo that the only way to win the debate is to engage.

You give the guy an mic outside his alt-right bubble and he just falls apart.

It was a pathetic showing. It was the first I had heard from (not of..) this guy and my thoughts were "this is it? This is the face of alt-right intelligentsia?"

He's not an intellectual. He's no William F Buckley.

He's just a know-nothing flamethrowing internet troll with the audacity to step from behind the avatar and say it in public just for the attention (and conservative media $$$) that it brings.

He's a Kardashian who just mocks minorities, women and overly sensitive liberals. Ie, an asshole.

To continue..

The appearance on REAL TIME did far more to weaken him than the Berkeley riots did.
That just plays into his hands.

I believe it's after show wrap up to put online. It often references events from the show.

I wasn't referring to the idea that Maher shouldn't have him on for his views or whatever, he just ground the conversation to a halt by his constant, needy attempts to get people to pay attention to him. It made for a pretty irritating watching experience. Like I said, at least Ann Coulter mixes some real thoughts in with her trolling.

After seeing Milo on Maher's show I can't for the life of me understand any appeal he has to anyone. He made no sense and had vague "ideas". He's nothing but a troll and not a very good one.

I'd like to see Milo as Press Secretary when Spicey gets thrown under the bus, that would really be interesting 😵

Lol.

OTOH Milo said he would never hire gays because they never show up to work on time as they spend their nights drinking, partying and sucking...

... So I guess he's out.

Audio and videos are now floating around where Milo advocates for pedophilia. When he talks about "the arbitrary and oppressive idea of consent," you might start to consider with a fresh perspective the notion of a rape culture.

Great job, GOP. I expect him to be dropped from CPAC and for that to be met with the same outrage as Berkeley, because we know that conservatives are always morally and intellectually consistent.

Who'd have thought that a troll who encourages racism, transphobia and general hatred would also seriously advocate for pedophilia? Color me shocked!

So much for trying to prop him up as a symbol of free speech. No, he's just a creep who shouldn't be a public speaker anywhere.

Also, watch for the people who try to parse "what he was REALLY advocating" as though it is better.

God, I hope so. Although this is the same twisted message that he's been selling all along, but finally on a universally taboo subject.

Yep, I was thinking when I started listening to the interview that he was trolling as usual (or wrapping a truth in a troll so no-one can tell), but it has put him in a sticky position: Either he admits he was completely bullshitting (which would be potentially OK in a business sense if his brand was spoof news), at which point he's pretty much outed himself to everyone that he's a sad attention seeker and troll who would even stoop to asserting that he has been abused (while also labelling abused teens as being complicit in their abuse), or he doubles-down and essentially admits that he prefers to cover for paedos.

I tried to watch that one-on-one interview with Bill Maher the other day and couldn't even get throw it to the group section because of how slimy Milo is (the way he says distasteful, unfunny things so casually then criticise his audience for 'falling for it'), so I can easily see him as the sad attention seeker and troll.

The problem is the other side (including those on this forum) equate lighting cars on fire, assaulting people that disagree with them, and smashing windows to be their equivalent of "showing up to the debate"
