How could you give up milk? 😕 Is it childish to drink it?

I love milk, I have a bowl of cereal every morning and milk with some sort of snack at night, would die without my 1%!

I drink it on a daily basis easily, cereals and oreos are awesome with milk 😀

Oh yeah, I drink either 2% or 1% milk, don't like fat free or full fat

It's good every once in a while. I've found that most milk lovers are fanatics toward milk though. They love it to death, they hate soy milk, they don't like the term soy "milk" and claim it should be juice, etc.

Does a soybean have nipples? Can you milk a soybean? </Meet the Parents>

I don't hate it for any of those semantic reasons - I hate it because it tastes f*cking horrid. 😛

I guess it's an acquired taste. 🙂

Well the idea of milk does gross me out(drinking something that was secreted from a cow nipple is pretty gross) but it is damn good on cereal or with brownies so i just try not to think about it.

If you do drink milk, you are a mutant:

from wikipedia:
The normal mammalian condition is for the young to lose the ability to effectively digest milk sugar (lactose) at the end of the weaning period (a species-specific length of time usually equal to roughly 3% of lifespan). It has been established that certain human populations have undergone a mutation on chromosome 2 which results in a bypass of the normal shutdown in lactase production, allowing members of these groups to continue consumption of fresh milk and fresh milk products throughout their lives.

to the OP:

no / male

my parents never made me drink it as a kid, and as an adult, I don't enjoy the taste or queezy feeling in my stomach afterwards. I'll use it for cereal, cooking, or in coffee, but I never just, like, drink a glass of milk.

my mom and sister are the same way; my dad drinks milk with just about every meal, though.

edit: I do like the taste of soy milk, though.

I'm like you I use it for cooking or cereal, I never have a glass of milk.

Yeah, one of my biology professors in college told us about that. I thought it was pretty cool, until I remembered that I'm lactose intolerant so I'm not one of the cool mutants...

How many adults here drink milk on a regular basis? I stopped drinking milk in my early teens. Specify gender if you answer. I'm a guy.

I've cut down from half gallon a day to a quart a day. 43

In other words it is kind of unnatural for adults to comsume milk regularly. I thought it was when I was a kid.

At least a glass of milk everyday. I have been drinking more orange juice lately. 'Simply Orange' orange juice is mmmm good stuff ++

Yes. About one glass a week.

It causes kidney stones so I don't drink it that much. Don't wanna be pissing out a rock the size of a pea through my kidneys.
