I would say to stay VERY FAR AWAY from Directron. Yeah, we all know them, but I have had nothing but hassles with them (still ongoing from a purchase before XMas). I don't care how low their prices are, I will never buy from them again.

That is another shop with the absolute POOREST excuse for "customer service" ever. :|

don't suppose you could take a pic of each like next to each other to see the colors? i am trying to decide between the black and silver... of course all i have is beige faces so things will need to be repainted either way. maybe i'll just get one of each like you did!

Well I just ordered one 🙂 At coolerguys they have the exact same case, w/p psu I believe and with a window for 150! I figure since its so cheap here I"ll put the window in myself and save a bundle 😉
 
Just ordered a SILVER one. I have 2 other cases like this one, a charcoal Antec, and a BLACK Chieftec. Both are awesome cases. I can't wait to see this one! 😀
 
When you hit the button to select if you want the case windows, it now says "With window installed +$25" and "See through Windows with neon blue light, +$45", so I'm guessing they put them in for you.
 
the 420w power supply I have in my generic antec SX1030B case sucks a$$. for the first minute of initial turn on, I always have like one or two voltages that are out of tolerance (according to Asus PCprobe). I'm running off of a APC Smart-Ups 1000... I'm running another computer off of the same ups and it doesn't have anyproblems. I'm switching out PS this evening and I'll let everyone know what it is. I'm going to put my Enermax 350 in it and see what it does (was saving that one for my watercooling system, now I need to get another one😀isgust😉

YES i just called them and the window COMES INSTALLED! that's cool... i may take them up on this offer, i'm lazy. 🙂

I ordered this case from them on Sunday. It is still not shipped. Called them up yesterday and they said it will be shipped today. Called them today about 30 min ago and he said that it might be shipped tomorrow or it might be on backorder.

hmm.......what should i say ? i have everything ready, just waiting for the case. I want a case before/on Friday so that i can build my system over the weekend but this company.....the sales person says that he can cancel the order.

hmm......i wonder what to do now.

I just hope your situation is unique........ and if it really is the power supply, then maybe you were just unlucky.

The power supply doesn't differ much from the real channel well psu. And are you using the -5 and -12 rails?

The other dude in GotApex ran voltage tests fine.

i just ordered one too. called them today to confirm my order, and was told that it's in stock. but their order processing seems rather slow.

with all these talks about the generic "turbolink" power supply that comes with the case, i did a little search. it seems like this particular power supply is actually going for around $40 - $50 by itself!!! if that's the case, this is indeed an awesome deal.

OH. You know what i think the problem is? this is a P4 ready power supply. And i don't think it is approved for higher end athlon xp's.

Have you looked at the thread over at gotapex.com? that guy is using this same exact psu and it's been running fine from the looks of it and he's using it with an amd xp processor.
 
ok mine finally shipped yesterday after calling them again and again and requesting them. should be here tomorrow and will let you guys know what i get.

regarding the Turbolink PSU, isnt it a rebadged Channel-Well ? heard that they are good/ok PSUs ? not as good as Antec/Enermax but still pretty decent ?

Thanks.....will keep you all posted. if i get a different PSU, will try to post some pics of it somwhere. Also, they have this same Turbolink 420w PSU for $22 + shipping, so i am guessing that they are installing in the Turbolink PSUs in bare cases. Anyway will let you guys know......if the PSU is really that bad, just ebay it and get yourself an Antec or Enermax PSU.

they aren't advertising this case as an Antec case. It's a "cybertec" case. And I doubt it comes in the antec box. So, this warning doesn't apply.

Correct they aren't advertising as an Antec, and probably does not have an Antec box. But they are advertising as an SX1030, which is clearly an Antec product (SOHO Server case). Personally I don't care. It's just ironic.

i ordered 2, one for myself, one for a friend, both black... hope it ships today/tomorrow... already have mobo and proc etc waiting for this case... friend expecting his components late next week... so next weekend will be a fun crazy building time! 🙂

hey bizkit whats the chance you could take a pic or two with a digital camera showing the window etc for us to see?? i did not order the window/neon but could potentially see myself changing my order. 🙂
