Yeah, do what computer suggested. Put some pannaflo L1a's in there. Or, silencer fans work nice, but they are a bit weak.

Put pannaflo's in your case and in your ps. The exhaust fans should be able to take the heat from your processor away, leaving the psu fans to take away the psu heat.

Oh yeah, don't electrocute yourself on the caps.

I've been using these fans for a long time now in cases and I find them to be quiet and never had a return. They will fit in pwr supplies. I get them a bit cheaper from evertek when they have them, (but you need a license to purchase from them).

Hmmm, Interesting....

these fans in there are moving a lot of air.. does sound kinda like a jet.. though obviously not nearly as loud.. just same tone.. I think I may open this thing up today.. my 5V is dipping a bit so i want to adjust that as i think its messing up my oc'ing. I just hope the quieter fans can move enough air to keep this thing cool.. I might just put the sunons that the case comes with in there and I might replace the heatsinks inside it to more effective ones.. who knows..

the fans are doing their job very good. They sure do move lots and lots and lots of air out of the case. But the noise..........................................................................................going to get Antec today from Fry's or order one on newegg. There is no way i can work on this computer with this much noise. about 5 min uptime and my head has started to ache again..............

<< << i also got 2 sets of keys to lock the case, total of 4 keys, lol. guess, someone will be missing his/her keys in their package >> >>

<< HA!! Probably me!! >>

Give me your addy and i will ship the extra pair ;) (ofcourse there will be some charge)

the one thing that i like about this case is that it is perfect black......no gray anywhere......the antec that you get at newegg, is it charcoal gray ?

gsethi: You can just try to do a fan mod on the PSU. ;) That might save you some money. :)

the sunon fans that come with the case are actually louder than the psu fans. the psu fans are rated at 21CFM. and they have a 2 pin connector..

where could i find fans with 2 pin connectors?

damn those fans are moving more than 21 cfm!

i got these recently.. they have a two pin connector:

NMB fans

**edit: whoops.. was thinking of something else... these have a small 3 pin thing.. but if you cut off the unused part it can fit.
I just replaced the fans in the psu.. the intake is now a panaflo l1a and the exhaust is one of these NMB's. I tried the
Sunon but it was still loud.. i think that most of the noise comes from the air hitting the grate on the exhaust.
Its pretty nice now.. a lot better than before but could still be a little better.

Also the for the Panaflo's I just yanked the leads out of the plastic adapter on the psu end and slid the leads directly
into the panaflo's adapter.

And the fans that are in the psu are Xinruilian Model: RDM8025S .11A
I looked it up and these are rated at: 30.5 CFM 25.97 dBA
***edit #2: There doesn't seem to be any pots inside to adjust the voltages

What?! no pots?! :( dang that sucks. Anyway, about the grate that's causing all the noise, can't you just cut it out with a dremel or something and just replace it with a real metal grill?

yeah i could do that if i had one.. might do that over the summer.. but.. my alpha just arrived and so with that on there the noise level is a good deal lower.. i didn't think that my old cooler was that loud but when all the other fans are 21-22dB its more noticable.

The exhaust air of the psu is getting a little warm so i might stick the sunon back in there... I'll let it run a couple hours at full load and see how it is first.

Hi All:

___I cannot say for sure what kind of fans come in the Cybertech cases just yet because (3) of mine are still sitting in the UPS Warehouse but the Sunon TS3?s look about right from the pics posted so far. The true Antec 1030B?s w/ the 300 W 303XP (the included PSU?s are very quiet) I received last month did have Antec relabeled 80x80x25 mm whatever?s. I 7 V modded the first including its pass-thru for 7 V operation on both. I now have (2) equivalent PC Power & Cooling Silencer?s as far as dB output with a little more CFM as well. For a front case fan, I installed a Sunon TB-4 and am only seeing ~ 5 degree above ambient with these three now inaudible fans running. Loud 12 V fans are simply made to be modded and this trick takes all of about 5 minutes with a very small screwdriver tip. If the included fans on all of these cases are the Sunon TS3?s, a 7 V mod will probably make them less the 2000 RPM units and that would mean very quiet. Hopefully they will start up on such a limited voltage?

___Since I do not currently have my cases yet and have never used a Channel Well?s, I am very interested in hearing about the PSU fan mods to silence them. From the few posts to date, this does not sound nearly as quiet as the Antec 253 and 303XP?s which are vastly less audible than any Enermax and as quiet as the Zalman 300?s. If anyone has a nice dual low speed fan mod/setup for this Channel Well 420, I am not only very interested but am also all ears ;)

___Good Luck and Thanks for any and all replies.

Of course that's a different ps, but most DO have pots on them. Looking a few here now, they do. They are usually about the diameter of a pencil eraser. What I don't see on that page at that link is to use a NON-CONDUCTIVE screw driver!!! Even with devices off, it's still a good habit to get into, and many times large caps can hold a big charge for days, even weeks. I have a plastic one specifically made for pot adjustments and I've also used small wooden dowels with the tip chiseled when I couldn't find my plastic ones.

Cyberpower's tracking page doesn't work so well... my internet order # (5 digit) gave me an order # (6 digit) but neither gave me accurate shipping info (both said "will ship 4-22-2002")... and the UPS Ground tracking form didn't find my shipment either.

so i called in and they confirmed that it had actually shipped on 4-19 via Airborne Express ground delivery (rather odd, make up your mind is this ground or air shipping heh). i expect my 2 cases here wed which is great. the guy had no idea why the site was wrong, oh well.

check both the UPS and Airborne Express tracking pages before giving up and calling like i did! =)

Airborne Express Ground??? ROTFL!! :D

They tried to ship me two of these for some reason. They would not answer email or the phone....I FINALLY got them on the phone days later (order still had not shipped). Guy told me "Ok, it's in the *warehouse* now ready to go out, I'll tell them to ship 1 instead of 2"......."NO, the order will NOT have to be canceled and you will NOT have to order again". Then I finally get an email a week later telling that the reason for my order delay is because I CANCELLED IT! BS!!!!! So, we apparantly got that straight (and him calling me a liar) and they gave me a tracking #. UPS tracking #. It DOES show it's I.T., however their site has no record of it ever being shipped, in fact, all it says for my order is *canceled*. Plus, it has not been scanned by UPS since the 19th. I'm still holding my breath on this one.

I can see why this place got a 4.xx out of 10. Here. Check out their Likelihood of customers making future purchases.
