I'm not worried. I'm just working on gold, troop buildings and troops to get my second city. I'll come back to the outer land when I can overrun them and not lose troops

ok, quest says i need a crushing and from what i can gather that means an outstanding or legendary. the main way to get it is to kill a lot of peeps with the minimal of yours while also losing minimal. easiest way is to find a stack with all the same type so you can you a stack with the same type and the combat type bonus and then figure the right number you need for that victory.

I beat that quest with a major victory, so those aren't the conditions. I heard something about your bonus being double the power of the enemy stack, but I'm not so sure that's right either.

Is there any way to get into the ATOT group on here now? All the referrals early in the thread are expired.

I'll have to wait till o get home and can read the quest again, but was playing with the calculator and couldn't seem to get much more than a medium victory there even when constantly adding excessive troops.

Like it has already been said, use low amount of troops and lose very few. The best ways I can think of is to take advantage of bonuses, use higher tier units, use magic or other hero skills and find the right enemy stacks to try it on.

I'll have to see what magic does once I get my next level guild hall constructed, burt at the basic level it's about useless.

If you are talking about joining the server, I think Song of the Dryads may be full now.

The victory levels work like this:
Win the battle = +1 point
Win the battle with a 20% honor bonus = +2 points
Win the battle with an 80% honor bonus = +3 points
Win the battle with under 20% casualties = +1 point
Win the battle with under 10% casualties = +2 points

A Legendary Victory requires 5 points. Therefore, 80% honor bonus and under 10% casualties

An Outstanding Victory requires 4 points. You can get this with either 80% honor bonus and under 20% casualties or the 20% honor bonus and under 10% casualties.

A Major (or Crushing) Victory requires 3 points. You can see that there are a number of ways to get your points to three.

If you pair up your troops correctly, getting a Major victory is not that difficult. Once you get the rough set up, either add troops to reduce casualties if your honor is above 20% or remove troops to increase honor if your casualties are already under 20%.

Outstanding Victory (which is a later quest) is harder. The easiest way is through overruns, which limit your casualties. If you find a square that has all the same type (infantry, cavalry or shooters), you can usually get an outstanding victory with little problem by using a single stack of the correct counter-type. Squares that have two types of units can also be targets for Outstanding Victories as well, but the order is important. Against cavalry-infantry squares, you'll use infantry to overrun the cavalry and then fight even against the infantry. Since the enemy stacks are ordered by power, this won't work well against infantry-cavalry squares because you'll have to fight harder against the enemy infantry with an even stack. The other squares to look for are shooter-cavalry, which can be taken out with cavalry, and infantry-shooter which can be taken out by shooters.

I'd suggest identifying a square for the outstanding victory as early as possible and leaving it alone until that quest comes up. If you don't have a good square, you'll need to wait, level up your hero and likely use spells.

A Legendary Victory requires 5 points. Therefore, 80% honor bonus and under 10% casualties

If winning is +1 you only need win (+1) 20% (+2) and <10% casualties (+2); right?

Somebody is scouting me like 5 times a day. Not sure why since my noob protection doesn't end for a while. Guess they're just getting experience, since I have pretty high level heroes.

No, win conditions and the casualty conditions are not cumulative. So winning with 20% honor is two points, not two plus one points.

That's exactly what they're doing. If you're detecting their scouting, they're not much higher level than you. If you want to screw with them, spec one of your heroes as a Barbarian which will boost his/her spy detection ability AND give you the ability to capture them.

Example for the outstanding victory quest:

http://mmhk.jactari.info/fight?info...EwAeFAAG_wAA_wAA_wAA_wAA_E_I_E_IAAAAAAAAAAAAI

I haven't run the battle yet. Will let you know if it's successful.

Success! Got both quests (Creature Comforts, and Oustanding Victory) done at the same time.

Got some sick XP for the battle.
