Microsoft to buy Logitech?

"It seems out of left field. Microsoft has a small decent hardware business, but I don't see why it would do this," said Morningstar analyst Toan Tran.

yeah, i don't see it

mice? that is sooooo 20th century

Great for Microsoft, but what about consumers? Higher peripheral prices?

I still use a Logitech MX 500 and Logitech gamepad (PS/2 style)

Noooooooooooo...............

edit:
Wait... does this mean logitech products will be eligable for microsoft supplemental parts?

i'm sure that will be there eventually regardless of a microsoft takeover.

anyway, i'd say i'm a logitech fanboy...i don't what this deal to go thru.

I sure hope so. Damn SS devices are taking forever to come out.

Aside from their Squeeze devices and Harmony remotes (both of which come from companies Logitech acquired, thus unlikely to change much), there's not much I like from them. I prefer MS keyboards and mice over theirs anyways.

All my keyboards are microsoft, my mice are all logitech.

I guess now they can be brothers. I still wish they could stay enemies though.

Finally... I'm in favor of this. Could this mean better drivers and integrated support, other than the old bloated and crummy software Logitech has?

Yes, I think Microsoft writes great software and drivers for its hardware.
