Umm, you could do this with any software company. I don't find the funny in this one. That's just how Microsoft labels their packages, so what? Labeling software like Office or WinXP requires more info than a simple piece of hardware that plays music.

Microsoft has a tendency to rip off other company's software. DOS? Stolen from Unix. MS Windows? Rip off of the Mac interface. Etc.

hahaha awesome. But, the redesigned, even though it contained a bunch of crap, actually looked GOOD. I'm actually among the few who likes organized content, and the creator did a pretty good job of it haha.
IPOD box is ok, but it looks a bit tooo plain. but of course, it has to stay on cue w/ the product's design as well.
designing a hardware box != designing a box for software.
NAME ONE SOFTWARE that looks like an ipod box :/

The simplicity makes it stand out.
Edit:
And Microsoft's HARDWARE packaging is like that. Just look at thier mouse packaging next time you're in a store.

LOL, good one. What's that music?
It reminds me of Peewee's Playhouse. Could that be it? The movie I mean.
