Because of Vista Mac sales are destroying PC's.

If there is no XP equavalent next year I will be going to a Mac even.

Why would you need an XP equivalent when you already have *drumroll*... XP? 😕

edit: and BTW Vista has gained much more marketshare in the past two years than macs have.

I saw this on TV earlier this evening... didn't know what to make of it.

neither did my dad. it was long and he was confused.

"is there some newer version of windows out already?"

Commercial was too long and Bill Gates looks like he his trying drop that klingon from his ass. (puke) Seinfeld was never funny, his show was fucking stupid and he makes me want to vomit.

I loved the commercial.

It was childish and docile in a funny way, it put a smile on my face. For an *evil corporation* that was fighting monopoly lawsuits and what not not too long ago, the commercial makes ms seem much more personable in a quirky & nerdy way.

Check out MS's new OS codenamed "Mojave", it's exactly what you want.

I kind of like it. It's almost like a corporate rebranding, giving MSFT a better sense of humor but avoidng the negativity and general douchebaggery of the Apple ads

I guess this was their aim

Bingo

Way, way, way better than any of the apple commercials. Except for that chick that was high.

Thing is for all the mac commercial lovers... do they actually show/tell you the product is better? No... they just come up with a witty way of telling you how their competitor is worse/more complicated.

For these commercials to not say anything at all except hint on the future (meaning they will divulge later) is just on the same lines. Using 2 people (Jerry/Bill) compared to well 2 people... (mac guy/pc guy)... it's all the same message just outlayed in a different manner.

Yeah, I was just going to say that. It'll probably do better then if they tried to talk about a product.

I don't see how anyone could like this. The humor was pathetic. "Are we going to be able to eat computers?" or "Do you ever shower with your clothes on?" I think Seinfeld got this job and then walked over to a notepad, wrote the first couple things that came to his head and gave up. He must have because I would come up with something funnier if I did that.

Ok great, I still liked it.

its funny that there's sooooo much talk about how its a stupid and pointless ad.

yet here we are....talking about it.

word of mouth marketing, for the win

I thought it was hilarious. I (really) hate to say it, but that's way more clever and endearing than the Mac Guy/PC Guy commercials.

Well said. I'd bet money that half the people in here complaining about how lame it is will tell at least one other person about how lame it is, and how they should go to youtube and watch it.
