I don't think the GOP have much chance no matter who they nominate. It's almost as if Americans don't like to admit being wrong, presidents seem to get a 2nd chance. Except poor Bush Sr., but at least he got beat by the best used car salesman, errr, campaigner, in modern history. Obama's biggest weakness will likely be the economy, because it isn't going to get much better. That's usually a game-changer, but the GOP has not much to offer. IMHO, Bachmann will look like an idiot on stage next to Obama.

Palin's an intellectual lightweight, can lie with a straight face, and is a selfish opportunist with a scary level of Fundie mixed in.

Bachmann is just plain Looney Tunes and doesn't seem to know it. Extra measure of fundie is just icing on the (nut)cake.

The idea that either one could win election for President should be considered preposterous at least, and in Bachmann's case, absurd.

Maybe she should suggest O'Donnell as a running mate and supply the comics with a lifetime of material.

Michelle Bachmann is everything wrong with all the other potential Republican candidates raised by a full order of magnitude. The only ones who would profit from her candidacy would be those directly employed by her campaign and comedians.

I suppose the Democrats also would profit if she somehow managed to get the nomination.

Agreed on all points. I saw Bachman on Today this morning. Ugh. What a repugnant, self-serving tool. She seems to epitomize all the worst traits of a D.C. politician. If the Republicans run her, I think she'll drive moderates and independents straight back to Obama.

I find her scary just as i find most women who are almost 60 with plastic surgery. Old eyes with a young face. Plain scary. Just not right.
The woman is 54 years + 8 months. Yet hardly has a wrinkle because of the botox and face lifts. I find her just as scary as Nancy Pelosi.

She quit her job as Governor to cash in. Fox, Reality Show, her daughter on Dancing with Stars, making bank on speechs. If she looked like Madeline Albright she wouldn't have gotten any of this.
