MIAMI -- Atlanta Falcons quarterback Michael Vick was found Wednesday at Miami International Airport allegedly carrying a water bottle with a hidden compartment, TSA Operations Center Officials said.

Vick was going through the Concourse G screening point to board an AirTran flight when officials said he was reluctant to give up his bottle of water.

Airport officials said that it was a 20 oz. Aquafina bottle and the bottle's label concealed a seam, which separated the top and the bottom of the bottle.

Both ends were sealed by clear partitions and what appeared to be a silicone sealant, TSA supervisors said.

The concealed compartment contained a small amount of a dark particulate and officials describe a pungent aroma closely associated with Marijuana.

Officials said that the lower half of the bottle was almost completely full of a clear liquid and the top half contained a small amount of that same clear liquid.

TSA officials said that when the bottle was held upright, it appeared to be half full of water.

A TSA screener identified the man who was reluctant to give up the bottle as Vick.

Miami-Dade police have received flight reservation confirmation that Vick was on an AirTran flight No. 338 Wednesday to Atlanta.

Vick has not been arrested and the substance found inside the bottle is being analyzed at a Miami-Dade Police Department lab.

Wow what a dumbass. I mean I smoked pot in HS but kind of grew up from there. But the guy makes over 5 million a year. I mean whatever kind of kick he gets out of pot, Im sure he can get through taking vacations, riding ATVs, playing videogames, or something. I mean its retarded. Just wait 8-10 years until your retired and then smoke all you want and who cares?

The bottom line is with the money he makes, he can do pretty much whatever he wants and should be able to find something better to do then pot....

would make me think twice about drafting a black QB early after the character issues of Quincy Carter, Daunte Culpepper, and now Mike Vick, all in a few years...

Actually, I don't understand why he's not flying on a charter. Using some like NetJet or Marquis Jet. Guess Vick likes to keep it real and slum.

It was always interesting how Marcus was going to come "clean up" by living with Michael in Atlanta. He wasn't going to clean up. It is just that Michael has an IQ of 90 while Marcus's IQ is in the low teens. He was just going to teach him to be a smarter criminal.

Its not that he smokes that makes him an idiot..its the fact that he trade to bring it with him. WTF was he thinking? First of all he has enough money to buy all the pot he would ever need wherever he is going...why bring it? Second. If you are going to bring it..WHY put it a water bottle. Agree. You can get pot anywhere and at any time, it's not necessary to transport your own stash. Doesn't even sound like there was enough there to even bother with.
 
Idiot. Save the legalization rhetoric. Might be more useful promoting it other ways. Bringing it with you on an airline going through TSA checkpoints is pretty dumb.

Well, per NFL rules, if he is busted for possessing an illegal drug he faces a 4-game suspension. That's going to completely change how the Falcons approach the off-season now. They'll probably have to try and keep Schaub around.

I've no idea what the consequences of trying to bring an illegal substance on to a plane in a hidden compartment in a water bottle might be.
