Jordan framed his speech around people in his life that motivated him to be better, so he starts naming names of people that stepped on his toes in one way or another along the way. :D

He mentioned Isaiah Thomas, George Gervin, and Magic Johnson by name in reference to the "rumored freezeout", and thanked them, "true or not", for motivating him to earn their respect. Classic backslap, imo, lol.

Of course Jerry Krause was mentioned.

The funniest was recanting how Bryon Russell approached him in '94 after he retired and said, 'why'd you retire? I can guard you...if I ever see you in a pair of shorts!...' :Q After laughs, MJ then said if he EVER sees him in shorts again, he's "comin' at him."

Three vids, about 10 minutes each. Great speech!

Part 1
Part 2
Part 3

All are worthwhile, but if you only have time for 1, skip to the third.

Best thing about him is he's stayed classy over the years. No rape changes, molesting children, or hiv infections that's a rare thing these days.

What exactly was the problem? He never caused his family financial problems and it never affected his job/career. People want to talk about how he lost 100,000 on a golf bet, or he plays BJ until 2 AM. But honestly, he played at levels that were in line with his income. He was making 100 million dollars a year. So, what's the big deal?

People must tear others down to make themselves feel as if even the best of us are not as good as we think they are. In other words, people suck.

Gambling addictions are serious problems. Then there's the whole being an unfaithful, worthless piece of shit.

Gambling addictions aren't serious when you can afford it. As for being unfaithful, not to condone what he did... but most guys put in his shoes would do the very same thing. It's easy not to cheat when no one wants you, it gets a bit harder when the opposite is true.
